  3. It's a funny thing isn't it? I've bought several AAA games and I've felt cheated, but I bought KSP in a steam sale for about 12 quid and I feel like I cheated the devs. I totally agree with the OP for wanting to shake hands with the devs, even though it involves physical contact with humans, and give them money. Keep up the excellent work SQUAD!!!!!

I could do that, but I'm not going to No I'm not being an ass, it's just that doing "ckan list" helped me solve the issue. when KSP updated to 0.90 I'd just deleted my mods and not removed them via ckan's command line, so when I did ckan list I saw a nice bunch of things like this: X ProceduralDynamics v0.9.1 I'm sure you don't need me to tell you what that means. So, using the command line ckan remove to get rid of the ones marked with a nice big X and then trying to install again fixed the issue. Adding some functionality to the GUI version to warn users of old/incompatible mods might be a good idea though so please consider this suggestion in future versions.

  11. if anyone is having problems with SCAN not displaying maps, such as http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/80661-DEV-0-24-x-Jul-24-SCANsat-v7-0rc4-Real-Scanning-Real-Science-at-Warp-Speed%21?p=1403371&viewfull=1#post1403371 then try this dll here: http://nyaanyaa.ath.cx/stuff/ksp/SCANsat.7z or rebuild scansat against the current ORS (1.4.1) Overwrite GameData\SCANsat\Plugins\SCANsat.dll with the new one and replace the OpenResourceSystem_1_1_0.dll file in that folder with OpenResourceSystem_1_4_1.dll and you're good to go.
  12. You need to rebuild scansat against the current ORS (1.4.1) You will lose scansat's kethane compatibility but you get all the ORS/karbonite goodness back. Or if you don't feel like assembling all the stuff and building scansat yourself, you can use this dll file here: http://nyaanyaa.ath.cx/stuff/ksp/SCANsat.7z Overwrite GameData\SCANsat\Plugins\SCANsat.dll with this one and replace the OpenResourceSystem_1_1_0.dll file in that folder with OpenResourceSystem_1_4_1.dll from KSPI 0.12 and you're good to go.   15. WaveFunctionP: With some help and a fresh set of eyes, the problem has been solved and I now know what's going on with the tech tree in my game. There seems to be one major thing that's been missed or skipped in your testing. Science Sandbox. The tech tree works perfectly fine in Career Mode but not Science Sandbox mode. Someone else tried it out under the same circumstances as me (stock 0.24.2 32bit on windows and only using your version of interstellar and no other mods) and exactly reproduced the issues I was having. He then noticed that we had been running the game in Science Sandbox mode. He switched to career mode and the tech tree worked the way it was supposed to. I then proceeded to confirm his findings.
  16. That was something I was already working on. I made a completely stock install of KSP, and besides the stock folders the only other things in gamedata were the contents of the interstellar zip file (toolbar, ors, warp plugin, treeloader and mm). I also double checked that this was WaveFunctionP's version by downloading the archive again from the link in his signature. I started a new game, did the interstellar tree update and then quit as per the onscreen instructions. I then added a bunch of science to my game and then restarted KSP where I filled out the tech tree and encountered the same issue. This is a completely stock KSP with only interstellar installed. Also note that this is a new save and I followed WaveFunctionP's installation instructions in his error troubleshooting post TO THE LETTER Here's my output.log file. http://pastebin.com/ne82zEua

Particle Accelerators, Antimatter Power and Advanced Fusion Power are all blank and nothing connects to Nanolathing.   19. right, so after deleting and copying in yet another copy of the interstellar components I start KSP, load my save, hit the tree update button and quit KSP. I restart KSP straight away and load my save. I go into the tech tree and find the node where the antimatter collector and storage tanks are supposed to be. Lo and behold, it's empty.... http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=295826138 Instead, it's in experimental science.... http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=295826957 there are other nodes like this too, although I don't have them unlocked at the moment. I can unlock them to illustrate if necessary though.
  20. once again I'll delete the treeloader, openresource and warp plugin folders and extract them again from the file and report back in a few minutes
  21. Is that regarding the 'An update to the Interstellar tech tree is available' pop up box? If so then I'm constantly seeing that box whenever I'm on the space center screen, even though I'm not even using the Interstellar tech tree right now. The reason I'm not using the tech tree is that it seems to be broken and there are a number of empty nodes (for example the node where the antimatter collector and storage tanks are supposed to go). Instead of being in this now empty node, the parts that are supposed to populate those empty nodes are instead where they default to in the stock tree.
