  1. oh you absolute legend , last time i looked a long time ago i found the dead page of the guy that made it , so thanks , they go great with the PMI fuel gen and large solar sails , for cheating my way around RSS , however im sure one day we will discover a way to generate efficient fuel while on the go in space so im just a little ahead of our time thank so much

Hi all , not sure if this is a request but it is a request for help, I used to have this parts pack "Lucern"???? something like that , it had 3 engines,2x 5m , and 1 , 10m here is a picture of the 5 metre engine in action , I cant find the pack online as I might have the name wrong , and I lost my old hard drive they are nuclear and run on liquid fuel and ox help!
  3. so I said I would check back , thanks for the advice , running 11.04 now , mono done , proprietry done , all the other annoying installation issues sorted , CKAN working well , 8k textures installed along with planet shine and snow ect , not an easy task for a non nix guy but well worth the effort , and just intime to get a nice working copy before I deal with the 1.0 mod updates Thought I would share the view - its pretty awesome so thanks for your help -

Hattivat thanks ive fought my way through the thread when I first fired up linux last time , however my graphics card didnt have correct proprietry drivers tried everything then etc , and then 64 came out for win and I was happy. thanks for the info about CKAN not working , that would have dome my head in had I not known - would have probably gave up on that too. NathanKell cutting ram would be awesome , but your 8k textures would be even better , time to put ultimate edition back on the drive , I had asked the same question a few days ago but in the wrong place and in a very frustrated manner , been waiting since september to fire my game up due to family commitments and found it all completely annoying. so was a little annoyed and sad lol , thanks for your replies and as usual the hard work you put in to RSS RO etc , my imgur is missing a few months worth of mission images. ill check back in a few when im up and running
  5. ok so im gonna have another go at getting some clear information , so any answers would prefer to be helpful and informative rather than "it doesnt work" So I am a massive RSS RO fan , only played stock for about a week , got to the mun , went for RSS and took a month to get back to same status , so was completely sold , active texture management and memory usage was always a puch but was ok , then came x64. I never had a problem with 64 but have lost my 0.25 game , and now I am stuck with no working release of real fuels / modualarfuelsystem to be more correct - so i posed the question the other day of anyone out there who has done what the post says and purposefully fixed modularfuels to work with windows 64. I was of course told that its not supported and its only good to use x32 and manage with a blurry earth as my reward for reaching orbit. There was of course the mestion to use linux and of course I do have linux already installed and now have a supported GPU , however , if the mods I require wont work with 64 bit windows , does that imply that they do with linux - I havent noticed and references to operating systems in the mods configs , so assumed they are OS irrelevant. If anyone out there know the right answer , and can get me on a working version of x64 either linux or windows , with RO and all dependancies modified or supported alread , (bear in mind the modularfuelsystem and realfules is the only mod that is currently not working on win64) , does it work with 64 linux , or am i screwed with 32 bit blurry blue dot , cos carl sagan is pi**ed right now!!! lol help guys , im not asking for 64 bit support , im aware its buggy , I just want to get real fuels/modulafuels working in 64 , either windows , or linux pleeeeeeeeese some sound advice from Nathan is in need im a lost traveller in a sea of stars and my fuel mod is broken so my tanks are empty or incorrectly filled , I think Jebs been at it
  6. thanks for your responces guys and of course I understand the reason to not release a buggy system , so was discontinued , my point was that in .25 I never had crashes , and kindof assumes some people who know how have undone the modularfulesystem broken compatability when we kmow its possible , I just wish I could fix the code myself lol also realised ive posted in the wrong realism thread , should have used the discussion thread , ill head over to have a good read and track down some x64 KSP gamers or even a nice pack of .25 parts would be nice , my old PC RIP cheers guys

I dont see how thats going to improve , I can get the game working fine in 64 with everything installed and lovely , but realism overhaul , dependencies now with RF and modular all confusing it doesnt work . is this not the case??? for 64 bit on linux as my new card will allow the latest drivers on linux I didnt see a difference when I tried a few weeks ago as far as i can remember , and plagued with a lot of AMD NVIDIA driver issues. if im wrong , fine , ill try but im unconvinced of a mods ability to see linux windows , , i figured no support for 64 meant no suppport , and modular fuel tanks has gone one way further with no code for evrn allowing me to try help lol
  8. hi all so ive not posted for a while but ive also not played since .25 , my .25 blew up and hadnt got round to a ok setup again. so ive been real frustrated for a week now , I cant get enough as i used to on part count to play 32bit , ive got it today just so i can play but I used to have the 8k textures and still play , ive been unable to do this , also Nathan due to realfuels/modulafuelsystem being activly non 64 compatible ive not managed to play a game even with a week of trying. Im almost at a loss and need to get back playing , its so frustrating as in the idst of all the 64 bit crap I had never once had an issue. So im doing what I can now with active texture management again ect but jesus the point of getting to orbit is to beat the difficulties and be rewarded with the views - I cant load the game below 3.2GB in 32 bit without seriouslt compromising my experience , and have not found SFA regarding users "getting around the modular fuels refusal to work with 64" - i dunno what to do next its pretty hard to rebuild an old working version as the versions just arent all on github as far as ive tried , I know this is mainly NON politically correct x64 talk but jesus I just wanna play the game and the DDS loader kicks the sh out of my ram just as I think im good , I look back at my imgur and see all my screenshots and cant beleive I cant play like that , ive got to orbit today without real fuels and had to delete a fk load of configs just to get the gamr to see fuel so I need advice how are you all settling for 32bit and managing to enjoy while it seems now seriously held back , and NathanKell im confused as to the way things have progressed , this is the best thing ever still and x64 freed me at the time it was right as I had progressed through and then found id been restricted by memory - there has to be a 0.90 working solution to RO RSS RF and MFS or I think im screwed ps youre still awesome - but i am a php DEV for a living and ATM AFIAK i cant play even play a game that should look good due to a couple of configs that have been built incompatible purposefully for whatever reason since the version change/takeover.complicatedstuff lol i just wanna play omfg

Working ok here with all my mods from my already existing folder that i copied and modified , turned all the graphics up full but hit 8 gb and crashed , so put the active texture pack back and now running at 4.5 GB on full graphics with all mode might give it a try without active texture manager just to see if it was a one off , as ive got plenty of ram
  11. ok so I have been ATI since the RTM build of vista lol , as ATI was the only card with drivers , I have always defended them but this is crunch time, I have still got the black screen on loading ksp , sp remove drivers back to open source and it all good again , so my question is this I am going to but a new card , this is about all I can stretch to , http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/components/nvidiageforcegraphicscards/nvidiagtx760series/n760tf2gd5oc.html I am only buying this to play ksp on linux , so I need to know that it will f*%$^$%king work lol anyone who is using nvidia cards with proprietry and have you had any issues ?
  12. Anyone know what the correct upper and lower case should be for procedural fairings , works fine in windows but the parts dont show up in my ubuntu install

  14. Ive just moved to linux so I can play with more ram and now my fairing parts dont show up, in the VAB , they do on the loading scrren but they are missing, they have always worked in windows, anyone know why this is , ive tried google and can find nothing ???

Thanks NathanKell , I found a rougue second copy of modulemanager in the stretchy tanks folder , command line unzipping of all my mods has no warning of what to put where , it just does what you tell it to do , ok sweet , so I was getting bored of half texture and reduced texture mod , and the half sized earth colour png , but loved the new moon texture as it was pretty bumpy even for RSS , so now ive battled the fonts and ATI fglrx and the million other things , I have a fully loaded RSS setup thats currently sat using 6.3GB of ram and look great on full. I ****ing swear to **** I need to get my ass to duna and back on RSS. my last hurdle was the boil off while waiting for launch window, I guess ill just have to think bigger, btu first i go visit the new look uber moon again lol cheers !
  16. dont know if this has been asked before but I just fired up rss on my ubuntu install so I can max the hell out of mods and textures, and I cant scroll down on hte fuel tank gui , so cant reach the mono , or the preset mixed tanks ect , scroll wheel dont work and the scroll bar will not grab to scroll down either, figured I would as first abd keep trying to figure it out
  17. lol I just lost a little bit of will power again , been setting up a nice ship in orbit and assembling it in orbit and finally decided to make a transfer to duna , had a 3 year time warp to launch window so warped, when I was ready lo launch all my h2 had boiled off , so gutted , what can I do to avoid this, are there any fuels that are light for top stages that dont boil offfFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF*****

NathanKell - Slimecrusher : I was being lazy when I resized my EarthColour.png with mspaint lol and as I assumes it had turned the transparent in to white , re edited with photoshop and it kept the transparency of the land so now I have green and blue heres a edited version of the file for you http://www./view/n4frv7lycwrq13o/EarthColor.png The new ksc location has totally screwed up my orbital inclination of my station compared to my lauch but hey a lil more DV and a plane correction and im ok , great job guys
  19. no I wasnt but ive just thrown the foder in my gamedata, loading now see what happens ok edit , still white land but holy **** my ram usage just dropped to 1.6 GB , time to ramp up the rendering lol

OK while im here I figured it was right i say what an awesome addition to ksp the realism package as a whole is , didnt take me long to get bored of the stock game but from the moment I installed the realism mods I think it took me nearly 2 weeks to get to the mun and back safely , building something big enough to obtain orbit and able to carry a lander and enough of a transit stage was a mega challenge , now im working on building a station and then im just gonna setup a fueling station to allow the fueling of empty transit stages in orbit , should help me get bigger stages in to orbit without the weight . So cheers NathanKell and all others involved , I work hard all day and have not gamed for a while , took me ages to bother to fire the game up and now im hooked , appreciate all you do cheers, heres a screenie of my station as its takin shape (over white land atm lol )
  21. Cool man , so that fixed the blue but my land is white , just like the png file , its always been green up till today , no idea what ive done lol
  22. Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this? , ive never had the earth texture before all the time ive had RSS installed , btu how I have this after updating it today
