  2. can you add variable to assign transform for ASPTextWriter? would be easier for other mods to support this. just pulling the 1st transform the plugin sees is a crapshoot, there's no telling what might come up
  3. I think integrated RCS yes. The grappler core will at least have very strong SAS and integrated tanks (FS fuel switch and MFT setups) for LF/OX or Mono, ~4x capacity of the large capsule tanks from stock parts. the metal gill areas are for attaching whatever else you want. I'm thinking a high efficiency (maybe Nuclear?) orbital engine (Mono and LF/OX) on extending arm (so I can milk the mechanical arms/textures/animations ) for skycrane setups. overall I want to keep this a very small set of parts, with MM configs for other mod supports.
  4. Stock IVAs and prop modules are half-baked at best. if it wasn't for RPM, I wouldn't bother making IVAs at all.
  5. yes. but you want to keep import/export steps to a minimum. Every app's importer/exporter to the common file formats like OBJ; 3DS; DAE; FBX; is a little different, and often times you won't be able to get all the data through the import/export process.

  11. you can set up a more realistic curve for FAR|NEAR; and a flyable curve for Stock Aero. just embed the FAR|NEAR configs as an MM patch in the part config, outside of the PART{}.

  13. Ah yes. sorry. incorrect transform name for cameraContainer = This is the proper module for the mini camera boom. MODULE { name = JSIExternalCameraSelector cameraContainer = rfCameraPod rotateCamera = 0,0,0 cameraIDPrefix = ExtCam } and RE the 0.625m probe core, yea I will change the description. You can assign the UnIVA internal to it and fly it with IVA, but the kerbal is still in the vessel and will die if the craft crashes. I can set it up to work properly with ProbeControlRoom Mod for next update. The ProbeControlRoom mod isn't updated for 0.25 far as I can tell, it seems to work but it may have problems I haven't encountered yet. Without ProbecontrolRoom mod it's just a standard probe module.
  14. I don't think there's much else you can do to increase TWR besides either less mass; or higher Thrust; since you are restricted to the length of runway. Drag is less of an issue at the lower speeds. You can try reducing wheel collider friction in Unity, but that will probably have negative effects you don't want.

  16. Haha, that's pretty sweet. Only down side is it's part of IVA. not a prop. but animating it manually would be easier. I think this would make a good topic for your Open Part Thread!
  17. Navball module is the best bet. unless someone wanna take a stab at writing an internal module that animates position and rotation with random noise.

  19. @Cpt Kipard. nothing... just trying to come up with a catchy thread title @Gaalidas, yessir. I always had to deal with orbital tugs that were 50+ parts. with this I'm hoping to cut it down to 10~15.
