As a person with young kids, I would love to see a partnership with Lego, or some other kind of building toy. The 3D prints are interesting I guess but still far too expensive and non-interactive to be worth anything to me. I want to have a big bucket of rocket parts and built all sorts of crazy things with them.

Wow that was a really great video. I have always avoided the IR mod because I always worry about complicated mods making the game crash or corrupting save files, not to mention I have to limit part count on my crafts to keep the game from being too slow. This video just tipped the scales. It is worth the risk. When 1.0 comes out I will try adding 1.0 to the game. Really great video, and those parts look great!

Make weird shapes with fairings.

This might be a bit dated, but how about Star Control ships? Most people probably wouldn't have heard of that though.

As part of the Vostok 1 mission plan, Yuri Gagarin had to bail out of his capsule after reentry and parachute to the ground rather than stay in the spacecraft. The USSR kept this information secret for many years after, for fears that it would not be accepted as the first space flight due to the pilot not returning to earth with his ship.

Sorry about the wait, real life is blowing up right now, getting ready for my wife's ETS from the Air Force and a cross-country move with kids. Plus I was spending so much time in photoshop the last few weeks with flags and the art contest that I started to miss actually playing KSP (space engine as well). I have no ETA for you at present. We move this week and since my laptop screen is broken and I require a separate monitor and keyboard setup to do anything I don't know when I will be up and running again.

I'd chalk it up mainly to overpowered jet engines. The number of RL planes with a thrust to weight greater than 1 is pretty small yet in KSP the vast majority of them have T/W higher than 1. Additionally, the lack, thus far, of atmospheric heating or a need for precoolers explains the high speeds and high altitudes that can be achieved.

I made the roundrel before reading your post more closely and realizing that you were specifically asking for NOT a roundrel, (I thought you wanted an improved roundrel at first) but maybe you can use it anyway. So here are the four, not posting hires versions to save space but let me know if you want them and I will.

Alrighty, N3h3mia, I had a hard time thinking of anything super creative for your flag/logo so now I have three flags to show you. If you let me know which one you like best I can try to fix it up more or change it to your liking, or you can take them as they are. Also let me know if you find a mistake somewhere, as my attention was spread out over three flags plus RL is crazy. Feel free to use any or all or none. First, here is the NASA logo, bigger, leveled out, kerbalized, etc. Now here is one that draws on that for inspiration: And finally here is just an attempt at an Aerospace-style logo. If you like it a lot I can probably fix it up and make it look a little nicer than it is at the moment. This one was kind of a last minute idea and was made in about 15 mins.

This one is for Fitzy3. I started out trying to paint the planets but they weren't turning out as good as I had hoped so this is just a bunch of planet images thrown together with "fancytext". Let me know if you want something changed. - - - Updated - - - I can't say I know anything about Paint.NET, if you post it I can try to do it.

I'll take a stab at it after I get to Fitzy3's request, he is next in line. I already have a kerbal outline shape ready from MrWalrus' flag. Do you want me to just change that and use the NASA image, or try to make something new based on it?

Yeah, can you guess which team I was on? I tried finding a video to link to but the only videos that weren't pay-per-episode only showed the Hotties team. I can't imagine why.
