I agree with almost everything here already. My one to add would be when you literally can't create a maneuver node, and you have to go to the tracking centre and reopen the flight for it to be possible to create them. Also, it would be good if when you create a node very close to either the periapsis or apoapsis, it locks on to them. I often create a circularising node when I'm trying to achieve orbit, and then have to zoom all the way in and move the node closer to the apoapsis so that the resulting orbit isn't massively eccentric.

Please help, I have updated to 0.90 just now, along with nearly all my mods, and the only issue I have is that nearly all my craft are getting deleted when I open the game because of Kerbal Engineer: http://imgur.com/AfIofmK -

Ok thanks, just not sure why 1) Jupiter is not facing the same way as its moons' orbits. (It's tilted relative to them) 2) Why Pluto was included over one of the gas giants. (I suppose it's a bit boring having loads of planets you can't land on) -

Sorry I didn't follow the guidelines. Anyway, I deleted that KSP folder and started all over again with only the required mods. It works I will probably now just add one mod at a time. However, I have some questions: Is everything in the solar system supposed to be tilted like this? http://i.imgur.com/BAfE5lB.png I get that Earth is tilted relative to its orbit around the sun, so in the map view if it is going to be straight, then the moon's orbit will appear tilted, as will the planets' orbits around the sun, but shouldn't the layers in Jupiter's atmosphere be along the plane? I'm a bit confused by all this tilting! Also, are the planets supposed to keep their original names (Bop, Ike etc.?) Thirdly, there doesn't seem to be the right number of planets. I think the outermost one is Pluto, so one of Neptune, Uranus and Saturn is missing because between Jupiter and the outermost one there are only two planets. -

It's "stuck stuck". I left the game for a couple of hours and it still looks like that image i linked in the first post. -
I'm trying to create an RSS version KSP. At first I tried installing all the mods I liked the look of, but often the game wouldn't make it past the loading screen and would get stuck loading a part, so I tried with just the essential mods. It loads fine, but a get stuck on this screen: http://imgur.com/7qROKN4 Any ideas of how to solve this? I would greatly appreciate the help!

Does anybody know of mod for 1st person EVA? I think it would be cool if you could somehow have the camera where the kerbal's head is, and overlay the inside of a helmet on the view. This would be awesome, especially with an Oculus Rift.

I like your interpretation. I'd like to add that in the same way as humans' large brains mean that we can no longer get by eating just seeds and fruit like our ancestors, I believe Kerbals are only at their most efficient when they have snacks to eat. They can survive on just photosynthesis, but they thrive on snacks.

The "spore" thing may be how Kerbals are able to spawn back at the Kerbonaut Center after a seemingly fatal incident, (something prevents them from reforming in hard mode!).

That was because the escape velocity was lower than the orbital velocity at the equator, which is different kind of situation to centrifugal forces, I think.

(Read - not "how do I hack gravity?") Surely, with the lateral movement you have from Kerbin's rotation, when you hack gravity, you should start drifting straight upwards from the "centrifugal force" which is no longer counteracted by gravity. Instead, you stay roughly in the same spot. Also, when you fly straight upwards without enough speed to escape the atmosphere, you should eventually lose speed and stay stationary, but I tried this just now, taking off with around 30 m/s, reaching around 1500m and then dropping back down to hit the ground at around 7 m/s. I know that irl there are many considerations such as density and air pressure, but these surely aren't factored in in ksp?

I often touch down fine, then realise that the plane is starting to swerve and tip over, so I panic and lift up quickly, removing the engine, before landing in the grass beyond the runway safe and sound.
