does this still work with 1.9?

Is it possible to change the default settings for mods? Every time i try to change the settings in game it reverts back to default.

So for the firs 1-2 minutes of flight the ship stays almost perfectly straight, after that it begins to pitch uncontrollably forward and starts doing flips.
