Also, I don't see any files for Barry, Stella, or Serious in Krag's Planet Factory or the one provided by Porry. I got the PlanetFactory CE files from the Github account that Krag linked to since he changed the license recently.
-
I put all the systems into the PlanetFactory folder like you said and KSP still loads normally. There should be an option screen when KSP is loading when you open it, correct? Because I'm not getting that. When first opening all I get is a brief white screen before KSP starts loading normally as if its trying to do something but can't. Please help.
-
Also, I am using Steam but that shouldn't really affect anything.
-
Ok so I tried what you told me and did exactly this: 1) put PF:CE folder into the GameData Folder and deleted everything in the PlanetFactory subdirectory. 2) Download and move the GameData folder for Kerbal Universe 2 into the KSP main folder (not into the GameData folder that KSP uses). In order to do this I have to rename the GameData folder you provide to something like KU2. 3) Run KSP and nothing. All vanilla.

Ok so I tried installing the special copy *wink wink*, but when I go to play KSP I don't get any new celestial bodies. I do notice that when starting KSP there is a brief white screen. You mention how there should be options on the loading screen but I don't get those either. Just regular ol' KSP. I only have 8GB of RAM. This is the only mod I currently have installed no others. Other specs: 2.4 GHz intel Core 2 Duo Nvidia GT 320M 256MB (yea, it sucks) OS Win 7

Hook a brotha up! I haven't tried any major mods yet and this will be the first. Looks irresistible.

Am I the only one who doesn't really care for biomes? Besides maybe balancing out career progression and science acquisition, biomes wouldn't add anything physically to each planet. I look forward to seeing what Squad will do to make each planet more unique and interesting besides defining biome locations.

Hey man it happens. The important thing for me is that I got my moneys worth in terms of entertainment value. This has undoubtedly been the case with KSP for me. And who knows. I may be back eventually since I like to relive old experiences years down the line. I could totally see myself coming back to KSP in 5-10 years when other games have improved on the space-tycoon concept and reveling in the nostalgia. Good times.

I was really expecting more people in the 19-25 range.... 21 here I feel lonely.

KSP 64bits on Windows (this time, it's not a request)
cwhiz replied to Lilleman's topic in KSP1 Discussion
This is amazing. SQUAD absolutely NEEDS to see this thread! Someone get in contact with Rowdowser or something. Maybe the developers can learn from this so that they can be able to replicate. -
bahaha! I just imagined that scene in my head and I could imagine the ridiculousness and facepalming afterwards.
-
Oh goodness. The waits in low Gilly orbit and descent towards it were a pain enough.
-
I agree. Good signature btw. Made me lol.

Yea if they were toggleable then I could see it being possible and relatively simple to implement. I have no idea how they would implement dynamic physics like that but if possible then that's another option. As far as I know, Unity calculates physics continuously and can't be turned off and on like that. I could be wrong though.

Pretty sweet. I was holding my breath while you tried to land.....and then you lost half the engines haha. What does LOMPS stand for? I was trying to figure it out but only got as far as Low Orbit (blank) (blank) Station? Thanks for sharing.

Sun should be brighter and scarier up close.
cwhiz replied to Mitchz95's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Hmmm, I actually think the Sun looks pretty imposing up close. I've never actually thought any depictions of the Sun appeared "scary" so I can't really help there. I looked at the video and I actually think the current version of the Sun looks fine because of better detail but this is just my personal taste. -
School Survey - Games Related! (Need 50 Ppl - Please Help!)
cwhiz replied to mythic_fci's topic in The Lounge
I didn't consider that but you and the FanaticalFighter are correct. OP, you would have better luck asking this on an IGN forum. However the audience there would be biased too considering that IGN gives more exposure to shooters and free roam games as opposed to different genres. That's the best place I can think of off the top of my head but I am sure there are places with less bias. -
This does sound cool but I am concerned with how this would impact performance on the launchpad or in the vicinity of the KSC. Will said kerbals and vehicles be on rails and not have their positions/paths altered? Or will said kerbals and vehicles be subject to the same physics that us as players are subject to during flight? based on the fact that you would like for the vehicles/kerbals to be affected by the actions of the player during flight I am going to assume the later. However in that case I am not sure Unity would be able to calculate all of the physics without lagging severely. Correct me if I am wrong or have misunderstood.

Annnnnnnd there goes my excitement. Nonetheless, thanks for the information.

Darn, I can't wait for the first landing of this IRL! Will be epic! -
Thanks for the greetings madhat and Vanamonde. I hadn't thought about documenting the journey madhat but since you mention it I will remember to take some screens.
