  1. Awesome mod, I've had heaps of fun assemling the KSP - Kubble Space Peekaboo - and maintaining it every time the processor went KERBLAM! after accidentally eyeing the Kerbol. Figured out MechJeb 2's Smart A.S.S. in ADV mode with TARGET - FORWARD reference mode did pretty good job at pinpointing the bodies! Moho remains elusive, however... Anyway, I was wondering if it would be possible to observe those random asteroids? They aren't exactly targetable and finding them manually is quite a challenge. Even then, there appear to be no experiments involving them. I believe it'd be stellar if we could gain science for spotting those asteroids! After you've stared all the bodies down, random asteroids are basically the only things left to look at - practically an inexhaustible supply of space telescope duties. Looking forward to the next release!
  2. "Just as planned." After rocket tipped over at 200m and impaled itself into the KSC.
  3. What about this part of the question that I also am interested in:
  4. Well, the reason I got FAR was to make those procedural fairings actually reduce drag of the rocket. I've used NovaPunch for a bit, disabled it to figure out how to launch stuff with stock. Thing with procedural fairing is that they ADD to the weight of payload... with a light payload, that's a lot. And the light payload is very very easy to lift... too easy, I find. Doesn't take much fuel, so I don't take too much fuel, however once fuel is used, the balance tips over rather quickly. Ugh, this is giving me grey hair! Procedural fairings make things easier, but FAR makes it a pain. Maybe I should play stock a while more to build up some more mileage...
  5. Small wings? I don't think I have those yet... But I'll consider adding what I have to the second stage as well. Any other tips?
  6. I have this problem... I've made a light probe thingy, weighing total 1.5 tons (with insertion fuel and engines). However, for the life of my goldfish I can't figure out budget-efficient (using Mission Control Extended and in debt) lift rocket. Using smallest fuel tanks and rockets I can achieve the necessary delta-v, however once the fuel is half way gone (or I drop a burnt-out stage), the CoM shifts up and the rocket begins tipping over. When I try the bigger and heavier fuel containers and engines, not only do the costs rise, but so does the Delta-V... And as soon as the fuel tank is emptied out, the rocket again tips over. I imagine this is because of the shifting CoM and top-heavy payload as well as due to ascent drag (using porcedural fairings for the nosecone). I am at the end of my wits, so here I am turning to you great sages. How would you lift a small and light payload in a cost and fuel efficient manner?
  7. I've also had an issue with landing legs not lowering. When I brought the debug log up, it said something about null reference. After a couple of alt-tabs and searching for this problem in this thread, however, legs magically worked again (after replacing them a few times)... Riddle me this. :\
