I completely disagree. Eorin basically got the shape of the F-22 raptor almost perfect. There are some areas of the craft where he traded smoothness for shape, but that's not the point. His positioning is definitely correct. Sorry, but: First pic is real life f-22 over Eorin's, second is the same with the actual f-22 of real life at 50% opacity. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Ohh, and Eorin, feel free to use the images to show off how good your building skills are.

I've been working on another LC Cruiser SSTO. This one is the LC Cruiser IV. This one isn't one that goes to other planets, but LC Cruiser V will probably be. I haven't named it yet and I probably won't end up naming it either. I'm planning on making it bring 36 tons to orbit. It has a stock cargobay door, that isn't a spaceplane+ one. I haven't made it fly beautifully yet and I haven't made it an SSTO yet (just a model), but those parts are usually the easiest, whilst the looks and utility function is the hardest. Here are some pics of where I am currently. The full released version might look a little different. ______________________________________________ Update: Yup, this thing is abandoned. The weirdly angled wings in the front and back make the craft very unstable. Not a viable Space plane. -

Granted. Ahh, you think darkness is your ally? You merely wished for darkness. I was given power over it, granting it to anyone who wishes for it. I didn't see the light until I turned off my computer and went outside, and by then it was nothing but blinding. *meanwhile the darkness has caused you loss of vision, and since you were born to function around vision, you die due to your other senses never sharpening and you doing clumsy things* I wish for more batman references.

When you say highest altitude, at the end, what exactly do you mean? If I understand correctly what you're saying (Highest orbit), what would happen if I escape Kerbin's SOI, and still return? I would make a rule that either restricts leaving Kerbin's SOI, or: the height points you created stay the same, but when leaving the SOI, the next big round whole number will be used which will also negate the your thing. That might a be a bit confusing. Here's an example: Player 1 gets craft to 80 km x 80 km orbit. Player 1 gets 0.01(80,000)=800 points. Player 2 escapes kerbin's SOI. He gets θ points, where θ>0.01y, where y is the max altitude of Kerbin's SOI (which I don't know off hand).

Show off your Interplanetary Ships!
manni01 replied to SelectHalfling0's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I guess SSTOs count, cause these go interplanetary, so: LC Cruiser II "Ethos" - 6-8 ton payload to Laythe SSTO LC Cruiser III 'Eagle' - 15 tons payload to Laythe SSTO -
I beg to differ. His are really cool, indeed, but Overfloater's Cargo planes to Duna and Laythe (Mun and Minimus too) go there and even bring enormous cargos (up to 40t). As for looks, Cupcake would win. And for creativity Cupcake too (*caugh *caugh pa1983). Also, capable is a pretty loose word and can mean things in many ways. Sorry for being butthurt about this.

Good, that you can't see them, that was my plan. There are 10 "spiky" intakes per engine (probably to many per engine for this design). They are were I hid the clipped wings too, in the small fuel area in front of the wings

For anyone who missed it: Naga - 36 Ton Payload to LKO SSTO http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/112725-Naga-36-ton-Payload-SSTO -
Naga - 36 Ton Payload to LKO SSTO Some of you may remember this craft. This craft is can actually more efficient and way better, although it does have more parts. In the past, I have created perfectly functional crafts, but they do look like examples why the current aerodynamic system isn't a system Now I'm starting to make better ones and, of course, way better looking. If you actually try to bring 36 tons to orbit, you may notice that it has way too much spare fuel. So, you may be able to actually bring more than 36 tons, if you can fit it into the cargo bays. Download Action Groups: 1 - toggle all Jet Engines 2 - toggle all Rocket Engines 0 - toggle Cargo Bay doors Also, when you land, you will end up having the craft's butt wanting to scrap the ground, so you want to pitch down slightly and when stopping, the butt will go down, but nothing bad should happen.

I really want to try this out, but I think the problem is something with the directory naming? I'm using Mac OSX so, does this even work for my operating system. Here's the message I get when I try to import a craft: Please help. I really want to try this out. I installed the mu thing, and your addon. Enabled both, the only place I messed up is in the kspdir.txt naming

[1.8.x] CraftHistory - 2.2.1 - 18.10.2019
manni01 replied to SpaceTiger's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I'm not sure this will work, but you seem to good with craft files and stuff. Can you make it so that when you open the select craft screen in SPH/VAB, you can create new folders in that menu in which you can put crafts. Basically, a method of craft file organization, and a search option? I'd like to expand on that idea. Tell me what you think. -
Feed me your sci-fi ships!!!
manni01 replied to quasarrgames's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I'm not sure, but this is a pretty (sci-fi)y craft (also, yes, I did distribute the y to the sci-fi, which is one term, so that it is understood easier) -

Stratus 7 Xephos - Mun or Minimus SSTO A-10 Warthog Dreins - Minimus Vtol SR-71 Blackbird LC Cruiser III Eagle - 15 ton Cargo Laythe SSTO -
Correct answer is: It is the only one you found I seriously have never seen anyone build this one, so I might as well build because I know a little about it.
-
A-6 Intruder I don't think anyone has made an A-6 ever in KSP, so this request is sort of special. The craft is maneuverable and stable. It is easily flown and glides very easily. Its really quickly too Action groups are: 1 - Toggle Jet engines 0 - Toggle Intakes DOWNLOAD

I have created a Mun/Minimus SSTO that preforms like my replicas, but is a also an SSTO Its fast, reliable, and maneuverable. It is easily flown. SSTO Xephos http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/111395-SSTO-Xephos-the-Lamborghini-of-mun-SSTOs?p=1751389#post1751389 -
I'm not entirely sure what payload means, but I guess weapons? Yes I have (stock, I don't really use mods), and it worked out fine. I used SAS, haven't tested without, so that might be an issue, but I doubt it. You'd probably just pull down a little quicker.
-
A-10 Warthog I've been asked to build an A-10, so here it is. I've actually built some versions, but none were as ridiculously stable and maneuverable as this one. You really have to try it out for yourself to see how good this thing is. Without SAS enabled, it will pitch down, but that is normal, but since it's thrust that is turning, flying upside down will make it pitch up. As these things go, this replica is pretty fast (you can see some mach effects in the second pic). It has the big machine gun it is known for in the front DOWNLOAD

If you want to make it so that it doesn't zoom into the craft, you have to move (your camera) down/lower into the SPH. Either you can zoom down with the keys, or the keys are hard to find, use this trick: As you can see, when going into the VAB, chose a part, delete it, then chose your root part (, if you want, move it down so that it is level with camera). The zooming will go away. This isn't a bug, but a side-affect of what happens when the default camera is a little higher than usual. The camera hits the VAB ceiling and thus can't move up more. Your sphere through which you can navigate your camera becomes a very thick pancake: http://static.newworldencyclopedia.org/a/a1/Oval2.PNG (imagine a sphere with two planer intersections, but the planer intersections cut off the edges. Basically an exaggerated version of this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/56/Small_circle.svg/200px-Small_circle.svg.png You think its zooming, but its just you moving through a thick pancake squad has decided to add to the game as a camera view.
