After a long and tedious rendesvouz, I finally captured my first asteroid as part of a contract mission. I could have attempted to get to it more efficiently, like not launching into an equatorial orbit as you normally do. Plane-change maneuvers in LKO are pretty fuel consuming. Final rendesvouz: Killing the target velocity:

I have a total of 78 mods and plugins, so I'll have to do a lot of work updating all of those ... Or maybe I just should start over on a fresh stock save..

[1.12.x] Transfer Window Planner v1.8.0.0 (April 11)
Thorium replied to TriggerAu's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Great tool to have in-game! -
After I downloaded Quantum Struts and Spaceplane Plus yesterday, I experienced crashes. And crashes. And crashes. So today, I ended up replacing my save file with an older one I had copied as a backup two days ago. I hope that will solve the problem. If not, I will have to remove every single of the 30+ mods I have installed one by one. So yeah, two days of progress lost:(

Landed my spacecraft from my other rescue mission to the Mun a few meters off the launchpad (that jet engine is from a contract mission I had to take on to fund the mission). Launched KSS4 as part of a contract mission from the mod Fine Print. I also brought a Kethane and a Karbonite skanner.

Did another rescue mission from the Mun, picked up a guy that have been there for a couple of hundred days. I also picked up a kerbal in EVA in LOK, as part of a contract mission Right before the Munar Escape burn in a 9-10 km orbit, Kerbin beautifully rised over the horizon.

[0.90.0] Fine Print vSTOCK'D - BETA RELEASE!!! (December 15)
Thorium replied to Arsonide's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
In many of contracts' descriptions, I get a "neutralize controls for 10 seconds" checkpoint. What does this mean exactly? -
Might try this when I get home, looks cool!

[0.90.0] Fine Print vSTOCK'D - BETA RELEASE!!! (December 15)
Thorium replied to Arsonide's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
This sounds great, I'll try it when I get home! -
Ser ikke ut til å ha vært aktivitet her på et par måneder, men ja, jeg er norsk!

Started a rescue mission today, to pick up one stranded Kerbal that had been there for 145 days, and rescue another guy in a high Kerbin orbit. The picture above is my first landing attempt, which turned out the command pod survived being slammed into the Mun in a speed of 200 m/s. Good thang I quicksaved.

You Will Not Go To Space Today - Post your fails here!
Thorium replied to Mastodon's topic in KSP1 Discussion
These clipped boosters will probably not reach space, nor lift off from the launchpad -
I enable deadly reentry, and he burns up. I let mechjeb crash a hitchiker module full of victims into the next poster

Excellent interior! All the details makes me see have have much time and effort you have put into this project! I have had some issues though, earlier today when I was done playing and returned to the KSC main screen, the camera was stuck between R&D and the VAB, unable to move and to reach the tracking station. When I tried to press exit, I just ended up moving into the VAB due to the exit-button reaching it. I do not know what cause this, but I am sure it is because of mods not interacting correctly between each other. But nevertheless, fantastic work, I love the command pod! Edit: I can of course press escape to exit, so that is not a problem. The big problem is that I'm unable to reach the tracking station, so everytime I want to go to another craft I have to launch something, and then go to the orbit map. I'll try to remove every mod I think cause the problem one by one. Here's a picture:

The last couple of days I've been continuing my career mode, now updated to 0.24. I haven't actually done nothing more than taking on contracts and finishing them, except from my Minmus trip two days ago. Here's a picture from the Minmus trip, with Minmus to the left in the image, and Kerbin and Mun to the right.

I haven't had time to play KSP for a while, but today I finally had som time left. I docked my Laythe lander with the Jool Mothership in an 80 kilometer Kerbin orbit, everything worked fine.

You Will Not Go To Space Today - Post your fails here!
Thorium replied to Mastodon's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Well, my first two attempts to land on the Mun were a disaster. I had only playd KSP a few days, and I had built a long and Heavy lander that only wanted to flip over. The times I used it I didn't know about quicksaving, so I thought I only had one try. -
Thank you for advice! I started building a new lander today, which turned out has 6822 m/s of dV and weighs 56,5 tons. The new lander is asparagus-staged and will perform the deorbit burn, the landing and the ascent back to the mothership. Haha, by the way, when I tested the old lander yesterday I experienced Kraken throwing the lander into the bottom of the sea when I landed on water, maybe because off some kind of weird strut-bug.
-
My lander for Tylo is extremely heavy, it weighs almost 100 tons, does someone have a better idea for a Tylo lander? It has enough fuel to land on Tylo, but the design is terrible. It is stable as a rock, it can land in steep terrain, but it is extremely fuel inefficient when it is that heavy. I'm sure I could have built a better craft, but after three hours of staging, testing and strutting the lander I was to tired to start over again.
-
I started building Tylo lander, and I also got some spare time to start working with the Vall, Bop and Pol lander (It's not like this the Tylo lander looked when I was done, but this was the only picture I had of it) Building the Tylo lander: The lander for Vall, Bop and Pol:

Today I started my attempt on the Jool-5 Challenge. This will take a really long time, but I hope I have time to finish the challenge. I started with building the Laythe lander, and it had more than enough delta-v to get into orbit around Kerbin. EDIT: Ouch that didn't work. Edit2: I just uploaded the picture via Dropbox, now it works.

What's something you personally want in KSP?
Thorium replied to Qwotty's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Personally I want more biomes on other planets and moons, only Kerbin, Mun and Minmus have fully detailed biomes. It would also be awesome if there was more moons orbiting Jool, also in extremely inclined orbits.
