  1. This is what caught my eye, the similarities in the sides/structure of the mountains... (all the images were posted here in the forums, all I've done is crop and scale 2x / Gimp) The mount on Ceres... (from PIA 19586) The mountains in the recent New Horizons images here... (from lor_0299175097_0x632_sci_3) And here... (from nh-pluto-mountain-range) Twas only a brief diversion, and carried Pluto in topic with it... effort was made by all parties to do so. Another nice render lajoswinkler!
  2. Ooooo... yes! Can't wait to show my Georgian friends Zadeni.
  3. It had nothing to do with New Horizons and everything to do with this... Wow indeed, Frida! I'm likely barking up the wrong tree, but I see something (structure wise) I've seen elsewhere. Now I have to go dig up a comparison image.
  4. I have a long-standing love affair with the F-16.
  5. Really. I can agree with that in as much as some modern examples reflect, as you say - such as dance, social models, and some elements of speech tone, otherwise there are a number of distinct and unique differences... IMO. Even with regard to the alphabet, a lot remains questionable ... there are two speculations about its origin, and neither has sound evidence in proof. http://www.omniglot.com/writing/georgian.htm https://georgiasomethingyouknowwhatever.wordpress.com/2013/06/27/the-origin-of-the-georgian-alphabet/ As for the spoken language itself (Kartvelian), there are some who believe (quite firmly so) that ancient Georgian was the tongue spoken by all peoples before the time of 'Babel'. That is another story however, harder to discuss, and more than likely to end in strong differing opinions and argument. I'm curious; Do either of you speak (or study) Georgian? - - - Updated - - - Even with Nix in 'enhanced color' ... wow. I want to see more of Nix, please.
  6. And then there's this. It won't be long at all (if not already and just not made public knowledge) before these are on planes... so much for your missiles then.
  7. Well I've got a string of planned missions coming up (Moho again, Dres, etc). I'll continue to check the output_log file. I have a little program I wrote which I run after each KSP shutdown, which blows through the output_log looking for NREs and 'Serialization depth limit exceeded' errors/warnings. If I run across it again I'll post the information here for you. Looking forward to the new update!!! Docking cameras FTW!!!!
  8. What I'm using ... Clamp-O-Tron_APAS-1.0 FreeEVA-0.5.2 Hullcam_VDS-0.40 SCANsat-v14.1 StockBugFixModules.v1.0.4a.1 x-science-v4.6
  9. Ah... I see your graphic lists Georgian branching from 'Phenicien/Grec' ... which I'll assume means a branch of Phoenician, off the Afro-Asiatic language group? This is incorrect. Georgian is a root language all of its own, not associated-with/branched-from any other ... Georgian, all dialects, are of the unique Kartvelian family. Just had to clear that up. gagrdzeleba
  10. It's the Washington Post, what more needs to be said? Any further comment would be totally political (although anything and everything having to do with a 'space program' is political, including the science behind it), and politics here ruffles too many feathers ... can't have that.
  11. Wasn't this probe anchored down with its harpoons? Then again, if blasted by a jet, I suppose that could take out a receiver and muck up the solar panels. Yes, bad news. :/
  12. This K-77M sounds a lot like the new variant of the AIM-120D (which is battle tested and proven).
  13. I was just there... but it didn't end well.
  14. Made it all the way to Dres, a probe laden with SCANsat and resource scanning equipment. During the final burn to park it right into a polar orbit, she shows up. Yack yack yack, yackitty yackitty yackitty, yap yap yap ... and the next thing I know I've got a probe crashed into Dres. Note to self: When she shows up, hit Esc and pause!
  15. Yes, I just started using this mod (currently in combination with the Clamp-O-Tron APAS mod, yields a docking camera) ... a worthy addition, especially when the new version comes out! Sorry tg626. Nothing personal.
  16. Aside from the two mentioned: FreeEVA-0.5.2, SCANsat-v14.1, StockBugFixModules.v1.0.4a.1, and x-science-v4.6. FreeEVA was generating an NRE related to Blizzy's toolbar and you're not having it (the toolbar). That's since been fixed. Currently, x-science is generating an NRE. I've posted about it, but no comments yet.
  17. Nice find. I've seen articles just last month about the lunar dust cloud which, in time, will be (speculated to) filling in small craters and the Apollo astronauts footprints. While not much can be done about that, the dust raised by rocket landings and such is an issue and concern, because the Apollo landing sites (and others) are of 'historical/heritage' value. The concern is such that NASA has drawn up guidelines for preservation, as outlined here... no-fly / no-go zones.
  18. I just recently started using your mod; Nice, I like it. I obtained it because the Clamp-O-Tron APAS mod requires it, which provides a docking camera view. This was my alternative since Romfarer's Lazor mod has apparently been abandoned. Nice to hear you'll be adding a docking camera view to your mod; I'll be able to remove the Clamp-O-Tron APAS mod then (I prefer my game with minimal mods). Anyway... I ran across this today, an NRE in my output_log file. I not positive, but I thought it might have come from your mod (first time I've seen it)... if not, sorry to bother you. The log entry is as follows: [HighLogic]: =========================== Scene Change : From SPACECENTER to FLIGHT (Async) ===================== (Filename: C:/buildslave/unity/build/artifacts/StandalonePlayerGenerated/UnityEngineDebug.cpp Line: 56) NullReferenceException at (wrapper managed-to-native) UnityEngine.Transform:INTERNAL_set_localRotation (UnityEngine.Quaternion&) at UnityEngine.Transform.set_localRotation (Quaternion value) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at SpaceCenterCamera2.UpdateTransformOverview () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at SpaceCenterCamera2.UpdateTransform () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at SpaceCenterCamera2.Update () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 (Filename: Line: -1) If you need additional information just let me know.
  19. Two flights with EVAs involving an asteroid capture, and no problems. Thank you.
  20. I don't use them at all any more (except for the ones incorporated into capsules), all they seem to do is fight against themselves and produce oscillation.
  21. For that, you'll need to read the published papers / scholarly articles on it and all related research. I've spent the better part of the morning here doing just that. Interesting stuff, just the tip of one of the icebergs out there related.
  22. There's an old saying: If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen! We do the same here, cold meals ... salads, fresh fruits, cold-cut meats and cheeses (sandwiches). It helps beat the heat. As a matter of fact, in a little while I and friends will be outside (embracing our heat and humidity lol), pool-side, going for a swim, and hanging out in the shade snacking on salad and fruits (and wine - of course!).
  23. I've been to asteroids before, pre v1.0.4, but last night was my first visit and capture. After a nearly retrograde launch, and 6 burns once in orbit to match plane, I was on my way to WZU-481. The asteroid was on a collision course with Kerbin, but I met up with it beforehand, captured and then redirected. It's now in a stable orbit around Kerbin. A current favored pilot who has thus far flown several select missions obtained the achievement, Hayy Kermin (girl) - as in Hey girl! Hayy will be returning to WZU-481 for additional science collection and to attempt a more circularized higher orbit.
