  1. Most of what you've said has already been said and is planned for improvement. Please read the thread before leaving your comments. Mod version is very easy to see. In fact, previous versions have a full history of which KSP version was supported by that version of the mod. Date updated is in the database, I suppose it'd be reasonable to show it on the site. Your complaints on screen space wasted are petty and will not be addressed. The mod author is given the opportunity to crop the photo however he or she pleases. The rest of your comments have already been addressed. Read the thread.
  2. Thanks DMagic, I'll look into it around the same time I do raw stats export.
  3. Fixed. I did say I would probably break things with those recent changes Apparently SQLAlchemy takes it upon itself to derail the entire application when a single error occurs.
  4. I spent some time today refactoring Kerbal Stuff into smaller, more maintainable modules. You can see the code here. This almost surely introduced some bugs, though I did exhaustively test it myself. Please let me know if you noticed anything.
  5. A lot of this is stuff that's going to be in the general polishing in the coming days. It's stuff that wasn't neccessary for beta but needs to be cleaned up before launch. The exception is #5, which I'm not going to change.
  6. Hmm, I don't know of a scenario in which an update would fail, but for what it's worth the email doesn't go out until we're confident that everything's fine.
  7. Well, alright. I'll think about how that flow can be improved.
  8. Wow, that seems like you had a pretty bad experience. I'm sorry there were so many errors, I was sure it was more stable than that. I'll look into it. As for Imgur and YouTube ****, I added meager support due to popular demand. In the description, put [] to embed Imgur albums or YouTube videos. I feel like your complaints about not being able to give it a zip file and then input details is petty. Mod creation does not take long.
  9. Sorry! I was fixing up several of the header images that stopped looking good as a result of this change, and I ended up breaking things. It's fixed now, I apologize for that.
  10. You can now move images inside your profile's header pic to get them cropped nicely. I'll extend this feature to support mod headers soon. [Moderator removed defunct website link]
  11. Made profiles fit the new design better, and fixed the bug that was causing forum profile links to be broken.
  12. This is intentional. We'll police it if it gets out of hand but I ain't no censorship police.
  13. You can now use a slightly extended version of Markdown (documented here) that includes support for embedding YouTube videos and Imgur albums.
  14. Downloads per version is already there. Look at the screenshot in my post earlier, each version gets different colors.
  15. 500 errors fixed. Forgotten password mentioned earlier in this thread. That's why we call it "beta"
  16. First of all, stats are now live: Note that I only started tracking referrals and followers as of today, so they'll be a little out of date. I'll add a raw export mechanism soon. Next, replies: Yes. It's a one way process simply because I decided that should be the case. Good idea, I'll see about changing that soon. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll look into it. I'm going to change a bit of how this works so it shouldn't be that jarring in the near future. Fair nuff Good choice, I'll add that. And yes, it's a required field. Will add that. Yeah, weird bug, it's on my mind but I haven't looked into it yet. I plan on adding this. Yup. Yup. But you probably want to upload a "new" version anyway so your followers get emailed. Yeah, I know, I just threw in the "click to delete" because I needed some means of removing media. I'll improve that whole UI later. Feedback is good Thanks! The entire browse page is temporary. I'll make mod discovery much more fleshed out soon enough.
  17. Yeah, that check used to be there but was accidentally removed. I'll fix it soon.
  18. Oh, I see, you hit a somewhat obscure edge case there. You must make your profile public before you can create a mod. Sorry about that, you can do it on your profile page.
  19. What URL is in your address bar, and at what point did this error occur? I saw someone hit a 404 on "/create", which is the old URL. It's now "/create/mod", but the old URL isn't mentioned anywhere on the site.
  20. Thanks! It used to look pretty meh, but I spoke with a coworker who does design stuff about it and got some good feedback.
  21. You will have to register again, there was a database wipe. Thanks for reminding me to implement the forgotten password page, though (whoops).
  22. Sorry about the triple post, but I thought I'd mention that Kerbal Stuff is in open beta now. It's entirely usable now and I'm just adding polish at this point. The list of currently implemented (and working) features is... Create and publish mods Publish new versions of existing mods (with optional changelogs) Users can browse and download old versions of mods Search with a sensible algorithm that weights results intelligently Follow mods to be emailed when they update Admins can do anything a normal user could do, plus feature cool mods on the front page Download stats are being tracked and will soon be available to modders Redesigned to look less like crap This is the time to commit to Kerbal Stuff if you're excited about it. I need modders to get involved and start posting their mods on the site, and telling users to use Kerbal Stuff to get your mods. It would probably be a good idea, for example, to publish your mods now and have users start subscribing to email updates to they get a handy email as soon as you publish the 0.24 updates. Of course, it is a beta, so please let me know if you find any problems and feel free to send any general feedback my way as well. Forum thread
