Is there a "prompt" or "input" like command in KOS yet? The most recent time I can find this question in the thread is July 2014. -
It would be easier to dock in Laythe orbit, however leaving Laythe's SOI and entering an elliptical Jool orbit will substantially reduce the total (perfect rendezvous) dV requirements of the rescue craft

There does not appear to be. The guys doing KAS said they would update it *soon* (probably a week or two).

You can build an arm using Infernal Robotics and stick the mini docking port on the end...as long as you never want to move that arm again after the port is docked to (bug). -

Kerbal Crew Transfer is another way to move crew around while docked- a simpler "stockalike" solution similar to Ship Manifest. Also, yes TAC Life Support. I saw this mod "Station Science" that adds resource and electrical demands for labs. I find that stock parts are a little limiting to building impressive space stations, so you should consider looking at structural style part packs as well. -

They released v.24.2 (and v.24.1) to fix a bunch of little bugs- notably the way the game interacts with plugins. Interstellar isn't updated to .24+ yet, but if you are set on playing .24 with interstellar, updating KSP to v.24.2 and reinstalling Interstellar *should* make some things *less* broken. And yea, x64 seems to mess with a lot of things (unity problems). -

Tl;Dr- use your bracket keys [ ] to switch between ships and eva'd kerbals when you are within physics range (~2.4km).
