  1. Maybe a tucked away feature that gathers relevant findings to paint a larger picture of something. Say you gathered some surface samples from the mun, it would show a blurb describing the results but not in an overly complex way, like how they describe science collecting but with a bigger description for people with a knack for reading. The more data you receive on the subject would reveal crap relevant to what was gathered and in turn would generate something like this http://newscenter.lbl.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2011/07/cutaway-Earth.jpg but with descriptions and such. Science gathered from deep space, asteroids, orbits etc would slowly reveal the inner-workings of the Kerbol system and show a similar graph but of the galaxy and not just a single planet. It doesn't need to show absolutely everything but enough to cover scientific findings and give the illusion of Kerbals learning about space. And who knows, maybe this data could be useful from a gameplay point of view and not just be paragraphs of fictional data for Squad to poop out.
  2. I've always felt that official content felt so much better than mods, games like Skyrim with practically zero content have really great mods but you can really tell the difference between a mod and a dlc or an update. I feel the same way towards every other game with mod capability, most part mods look and feel out of place when combined with other stock parts and it really boils down to playing with a bjillion mods that make the core game barely recognisable or only using a few that make the core game seem better. I can't play KSP without mods simply because the base game is lacking content and even then, it's just a skeleton wearing fancy clothes. 64bit compatibility will definitely make it more playable for me since I can't use visual mods and part packs at the same time without it crashing. Still, I'm really bored of it at the moment and I can't say that putting challenge-limits in will make it any more enjoyable. I do believe it's the right direction though, overloading the game with stock parts that only serve the purpose of "WHOOSH" will just make it even worse. I expect the update to give me a couple of hours of messing around before I inevitably go back to what I was doing since it just adds a couple of bones to the nearly finished skeleton.
  3. Is there a download that includes every release?
  4. E-peens aside, people seem to be forgetting that humanity has only ever set foot on the moon. The fuzz (I really hate not being able to swear) we're able to achieve in KSP will most likely take NASA decades and probably even centuries. A civilisation of green humanoids that consists of only a space program with the intent of exploring and collecting all the science in their local star system to therefore advance their technology for better methods of collecting the science until they reach a technological boundary that prevents them from advancing further than what humanity has already come up with. The real question here is "Is KSP going to be an unrealistic NASA simulator or a space simulator with realistic physics?" since people are confused on what they are supporting, as am I.
  5. Nope, no bodies have axial tilts although its been suggested. I use a cheat mod of sorts called HyperEdit that displays latitude and longitude to a certain extent so it's definitely possible to implement. Alshain, meridians may be arbitrary but equators are not; as determined by the axis of rotation. Use Wikipedia if you're having trouble with the concept of longitude and latitude.
  6. I definitely welcome all the crew stat stuff and with it should come the appropriate buildings parts, life support doesn't necessarily always mean food, water and oxygen since that kind of stuff is a no-brainer for astronauts. Exercise, social interaction and skill building is more to the center of supporting astronaut life. Food, water and oxygen however should be the most important thing for colonies (if that will ever be implemented).
  7. I made a previous post but it didnt seem to work :S In KSP, do asteroids create impact craters, make explosions, burn up, etc?
