Hi all For me too, carrer mode is a fun thing, but casual one. Science would be the Goal (even the Ultimate One !). In fact, if humanity can't rise to space level, she will surely die, or be forced to "pericliter" staying at same level forever Anyway, the budget limit my creativity, and i dont want to be a manager, but a director, the one who say "We have to go to Duna ! let do it mens !" and build a ship limited by my skill in design and not by money. Maybe squad is now too close of NASA, and KSP tend to be a NASA simulator, instead of a "Can that thing fly, and How Far Jeb will go wiz" simulator. Well, only one question to harvester: When u launched ur figs in air wiz firecracker as young boy, did the price of the firecracker the goal, or how high go the kerbal ? Today, jeb is back to the Kerbol Explorer, and bob made his first kethane refuel mission Jeb on his way back to KE Final approche Bob's kethane mission begins Kethane facility Ike's approche Bob first landing KE encounter Kethane facility final approche First voyage, 17000 Kethane unit to convert, and a proof that facility can bring back all that kethane in orbit !! I didnt even use monoprop engine or LFO engines ive install in case of, nuke only ! Ike is a very easy place for land/take off !!

Today, i made my all first ExtraKerbin landing !!! Tadaaa !!! Of course wiz Jeb, he's now officially he first Kerbal to land out of Kerbin system !! Jeb at lander door, Happy for his first ExtraKerbin landing !! §§§§ing hinge !! Good luck Jeb My first ExtraKerbin kerbaled landing !!! wiz Jeb of course ! I plan to stay a few for making pics wiz rising Duna, but i finally made a fastest possible mission, for being able to keep the orbital plan of KE. Jeb is now in orbit, waiting for KE encounter, and bob is preparing himself for Kethane harvesting mission

Today, i retry the Dunar capture burn, wiz aerobraking at 15 km high, plus 150 m/s burn. Another 250 m/s burn for managing Ike encounter But before, need orbital struting phase, as that shake a lot while aerobraking, and break some struts Once at Ike, 276 m/s for capture Once in orbit, start deploying mapsat and scanners Jeb's EVA for configuring auxiliary Mapsat dishes Launching Auxiliary Mapsat

Today, Kerbol Explorer arrive at Dunar system, and after a few m/s correction, manage a trajectory for aerobraking, as i choose to try orbiting Duna wiz max dV done by aerobraking, encounter and orbiting gilly (Edit: argg Ike of course), then descent to Duna before go home. I made two try, one at 50 km high, no atmosphere , one at 24 km high, atmo too thin, next attempt at 15km !! (i need 300 m/s for orbiting) KE arrive in Dunar system Duna pole flyby at 30km high

Today i launch the Kerbol Explorer in his Duna trip, and so plan a 1040 m/s burn, which is 8 min long IG, but 2h30 IRL !!! duna burn begin Ejecting sided tank 1 As burn is 2.5 hours IRL, ive time for pics Ejecting sided tank 2 Last sided tank ejection 640 m/s wiz sided tanks So long burn, try of desktopable pics I send lot of electricity wiz microwaves, but i cant use it for ionnic engines , wiz ion engines, i pass from 8min to 5 min IG, and that a savetime IRL !! As i use old KSPI, i have to search that electric trouble solution; and i have to reload a old save and redo that burn, as i realize that duna encounter correction burn is too expensive, as i failed the "optimal" acceleration windows (bouhouh) But, im very happy to finally make this Duna trip, i fear all the week that 0.25 come before i can try

yep, as ive launch the two others north when KSC was on the other side of Kerbin, i launch the third in south direction, and fly over south pole

Hi, today, after a KSP break, i launch 3 solar station to build a power network enabling Kerbol Explorer ionnic burn. I have to make at least the duna mission KE was build for before 0.25 !! Kerbin system, Long range comring, and 3 solar station on their way for making another ring, a power network i drop the grounded power facility, as i read in KSPI wiki that microwaves are inefficient in atmo !! I failed to build a working reactor so, i launch solar stations !! Need to test deeply KSPI

i deliver green train to power facility Green train v2, now wiz balloons !! I start by a fan version, but it has bad rotation, and not enough electic power, so i put turbojet on rotatron, enabling fats turn rate, and 60m/s at cruise speed at 3500m, permit fast efficient delivery

Today i try to build a ground power station, for transmitting electric power to Kerbol Explorer, forming a network wiz Solar Sation 1, and to be completed wiz some relay satellites, and other power sources. i made a try wiz green LLL power plant, which seams produce 45/min electricity, thinking about 4000 KE need, as solarstation provide 2000 at best, i saw that a so 45x10=450x10=4500 BWAAAAHHH !! So... my first train: the Green train but, cauz i try warp speed, i was crush by the Kraken, and loose my arm preview for recycle the wheels once installed then i realize that i havnt test the ladder, and cant go back in the pod !p hopefully, their's seat on green power plant as the drive wasnt easy, and the battery need recharge, so i launch the main building, which is the transmission tower i stop at the first good place, but i realize that's only 2.6 km from KSC, to close for me I finally found a good place at 15 km south form KSC, after a long drive, wiz repair mission need I finally drop the green train at 5km from KSC, too slow, i will relaunch him but by the air

Today its a great day for Kerbol Explorer, as he succefully accomplish his first long burn wizout deviating nor wobling, nor breaking something Im very happy by this "birth" as its not ensure it work, and reprsent lots of game session. So i make a few burn test while changing the 12 upper nuke engines trust, and it appear that at 70% of trust, it permit a stable flight, wiz SAS only, enabling stability needed for long burn. I burn 2min for 200m/s (approx), wizout break anything, nor wobling, perfectly stable, but IRL, that take close to 20min... going to Duna promit to be long At the end of burn test, i saw three purple things, and dont know what's... OVNIs?

I agree !! More engines have more fun !! even if more airintakes will surely be better here, as more airintakes permit to go higher and quiker wiz turbojet

Today i separate the complete front section from KE, cauz it was a bad design, due to too big distance between ramp and albatros, pushing fuel mass too out of trust vector. I will send another updated one later, but want try a KE burn wizout that weight. KE front section separation Albatros deploying wings Solar panel ensure half of ionnic engines power, rest is done wiz microwave small receivers Bwaaahhhh !! Bye KE Albatros reentry Ejecting ramp, which open chutes Both landing wizout breaks ! ramp was save by space scooters chutes, still docked EDIT: WTF !! Watching the pics after posting, i just realize that i havnt think about switching the main command pod and the albatros ramp, pushing that supplementary weight just in Trust vector !! i surely will try it

Hi all, At my first attempt, i reach 3400 m/s dV for Moho Orbital transfer, I easily make my orbit (have enough dV), but as i plan to land a probe on it, and play wiz remotetech which add delay to com, i failed a lots of landing due to delay !! (Really hard to make a correction burn wiz 1.20 min of delay ). I was finally forced to accept Mechjeb as my friend (grrr, but i use it just for landing, no other action, as im all new, i dont want mechjeb steal my pleasure ), when i read that even curiosity have a flight computer for landing as mars atmo cut radio links !! But, wiz these multiple try, i made several orbital insertion, and my best score was close to 1700, far lower from 2500 !! I just respect the launch windows give by kerbalarmclock, one burn for exitinig Kerbin SOI, a An manoeuvre for matching plan and manage encounter wiz Moho, and an orbital insertion final burn. My best technique, is burn backward of Kerbin move (lowering Pe relative to Kerbol), for just exiting Kerbin SOI, not even cross my target orbit, then plan a manoeuvre at the An (or Dn), and then see if i encounter or not my target (i mean, even if u match plan and cross targets orbit, it can be too early or late) The good way of that technique, is that if i cant reach target, i just have to make a correction burn when still in Kerbin SOI, for going a few quicker or slower, in way to authorize encounters. Sry, im not eng, and thats hard too explain for me. Try again: - One burn exiting Kerbin SOI (must be 950m/s i think), no plan match, no orbit cross, just out of Kerbin SOI, backward kerbin move for inner planets, forward for outer - Plan a manouevre at Dn or An, which permit to cross orbit, and match plan - If u come too quick/slow, adapt ure speed when ure still in Kerbin SOI (on the still blue part of ure trajectory), and play wiz the An/Dn node for matching target, playing wiz these two spot permit too easily reach anything Not sure i help, but i try
