I failed the Kerbol Explorer Münar transfer burn !! 18 km/s dV, plus bonus wheigt when sided tank will be eject; Nuke+ionnic, wizout the fuel in kethane facility, Albatros and landers Bob's taking some rads I start by test rotation, and KE success easily, even a 70 rad/s emergency turn !! Kethane rear facility was close to break, but not. Need a few more struts , but was cool for normal 25rad/s planned turn. But when i burn, after a cool beginning, i realize that my solar station transfer nothing (maybe cauz she's on the other side of Kerbin...) and so my ionnic burn as to stop; and KE CoM seams to be lower than CoT, due to Albatros and his fuel, which isnt plan at the beginning So, Kerbol Explorer get down when i burn both engines at full power. I need to lower the trust of the upper engine section. That's a fail, but tomorrow is another day ! EDIT: 0.70 rad/s, and 0.25 rad/s planned turn, sry
  2. i dont realy know, as VOID dont make a good count of sided tank. When i test burn wiz nuke and ion, i have more than 21 km/s dV, but wizout the albatros and it ramp nor kethane facility. But in fact, all that stuff will maybe be unusefull as i dont know where's my CoM or my CoT, maybe that ship can't support a 10 min acceleration I will see now
  3. Today i finished the last strut KE need, and learn that moving a KAS box wiz lots of strut ends inside is far more efficient than make lots of move for taking back to position grouped strutts !! KE Main loading bay door's closed once kethane lander was strutted KE is now ready for munar transfer test burn, fully strutted (all landers, mapsat, kethan facility and albatros, both microwaves arms and scooters, and all links between main ship and engines sections are doubled or tripled). I dont even know if that will be enough or not for resist while rotating that 1.02 ktons ! Test after dinner
  4. Completed Kerbol Explorer Let's struts ! On front section, there's a observation bay which will have a nice view once albatros gone, and 2 space scooter wiz only monoprop, they have 1.743 km/s dV due to 4 new 0.242 monoprop engines. enough for landing !! Im strutting... Wiz 2017 parts at the end, KE make my PC burning , only 3-5 fps, every action is so slow... Not really fun, but that's my first interplanetary ship (except a 0.235 duna one way small lander), its just... too huge for KSP now, that's seams to be a commun KSP noob mistake Next one will be wiz less part for preserving my frame rate !
  5. I launch the Albatros, and a kethane emergency lander to Kerbol Explorer Launcher separation What a spotlight Kethane emergency lander docking Front section docked, Kerbol Explorer is full !! Now, a few more struts for new lander and Albatros section, and KE will be ready for Münar transfer test burn
  6. Today, i made the albatros, a space ship for the Kerbol Explorer, which can have 3 crew members, and have wings in hope of a Duna flight !! Albatros Albatros deploying wings Nuclear take off Yeah it fly ! I really love thoose wings ty red iron crown ;p
  7. Hi all, Today, i play a long for finish strutting Kerbol Explorer, and send a rear adapter wiz some science stuff from KSPInterstellar than i miss, and kethane module. Kethane module is an experiment, as i try on a monopropellant engine delivering 280 trust, mix wiz 4 nuke, and 4 small fuel engines. Not sure at all it can orbit when fully load wiz kethane While flying to KE, i cross Jeb's poopoo !! Tug flipping rear adapter while kethane facility standby Bob EVA strutting Struts !! strutting both landers EVA results Kerbol Explorer, wiz his kethan facility "That is a gorgeous looking station. Tres belle, mon ami!" Thank you man , not easy to be patient wiz that 1670 part ship, 5 fps...
  8. hi all i think personnaly that their lot of miss in KSP ! I mean, despite i love it like that, it would be better if there's lots of thing to visit, like liquid methane falls, or dust/sand storm in particular canyons... lots of scientific curiosity, something like "the seven marvellous things in Kerbol system" or thing like that That will add lots of tourism motivation, like anomaly does
  9. Today, i enforce KE wiz Moar struts !! Struts are here and go somewhere here First EVA end First EVA result As i have lots of move to do, i decide to move back the tug for putting all struts on. One of the microwaves arm have a few degree to correct, that's the occasion Once done, tug move in position to dock wiz last unwanted structural enforcer, permit a topbay flyby, containing a mapsat KE is a huge mapsat (a little too big for that task ), this mapsat is preview to be launch in polar orbit, while KE stay in more equatorial orbit, "enhancing" map acquisition. Mapsat will be catch back once map done. Once docked, Jeb take back structural enforcer's struts before desorbit them Only 100m/s dV between a 150km Pe, and a 30km Pe !! didnt realize that so few Now tug docked at back, wiz all struts on, really close to their final position, easying next step of job

Today, i finish the new configuration of the Kerbol Explorer Moving engines block 3 Strutt the engine block and made a test rotation (max speed 0.20 rad/s) and a full power both nuclear and ionnic burn test Moar engines !! Now, KE turn better, and wobling less, but it need more struut to be really cool. Still missing a kethane module, and a small shuttle

Hi, ty Before the new ionnic engines block, i had 10km/s dV wiz nuclears engines + 5.10 km/s wiz ion engines Maybe more, as im not sure VOID make a good count for my sided ejectable tanks (when i put some on rocket, dV get higher when i eject them....) Edit: but it still miss some module, that will reduce the dV, and a kethane module too, that will infinite the dV
  12. today i move Kerbol Explorer engines block 2 in his new position, and strutt block 1&2 KE engine block 2 docked in new position, new inonnic engines block on the way Go strutting Jeb's EVA strutting Sry for low resolution texture, it a test for lag reduction, but ill switch back for better as its not really efficient

  15. for me, as im an old PC player, below 60 fps is again very good, its begin to be hardly playable at 15 fps, or maybe 5 fps... Have some trouble past 1200-1500 parts, close to 15 fps
  16. once, during launch, i see a debris at 50km, coming closer and closer as im taking altitude. He finally pass at 2.5km from my rocket. That the bad side of close to always east launch, all ure rocket's debris have KSC on their trajectories
  17. i finish my Solar Station 1 She can transmit between 1500 and 2000 of electricity. Now at park orbit, waiting for Kerbal EVA strutting work, before moving in polar orbit, higher than Minimus. she have 5.10km dV, due to her ionnic engines

  22. Well, i try to do same manoeuvre wiz my ship by changing nothing else than adding KJR, and if the engines blockx still wobbling a few, solar arms dont move at all Cool !!
  23. But, i want to ask : Where come that tank tracks from? LLL too? (i dont unlock all my tree for now, so i dont see alll LLL parts...)
