I used to make models and mods for Skyrim all the time, most of my playtime was testing. Still have not finished that game, then again I did enjoy modeling and modding. So far I've kept myself from doing this with KSP, but I can feel the itch. I guess it just comes down to if you are enjoying yourself it doesn't really matter.

I've got that mod and it is a ton of fun. Stopping can be a challenge.

Just depends on the situation and what I feel like if I use it or not.

I always thought that should be in the game, since its not I bought a program to do it.

I agree this needs to go to the release forum, its a great mod, I found it a few months ago by accident.

Remembering back to my first launch, I hit the space bar and then nothing, looked around for a little bit and saw the throttle at 0%. Then thought hmmm which keys are for the throttle. Now I have to wonder if I just stated playing, how long and how many screwed up flights would I have had before I realized there are throttle controls. Not so sure this is a good thing for new players, too many other things to think about for the first few launches. Changing it to 50% just seems weird and confusing. As for me personally I now use a flight stick with throttle control which drops it back to 0%.

Yup, same thing here, plant a flag near KSC.

Return to home, rescue... umm no. My 23.5 universe has already ended, they never saw it coming.

Career mode, had thought about using sandbox as R&D but since I want to go for realistic it all needs to be done in career. R&D costs money, failures happen. Hopefully budgets will make this challenging.

Thanks for the info. Since I'm used to using staging for docking (3 times lol) no point in confusing myself.

Is there any advantage to using docking mode? I have not been playing that long, but I have not found any reason to use it, am I missing something?

Since this is the first time I'm getting an update should I remove all my mods?

I always have a good time playing, will post as much as possible (still looking for the IRL pause button). Guess I'm not playing enough enough KSP since I still think of KSC as Kennedy Space Center

Hi all, been playing and following the forums for a while now. Thought it was about time to drop in and say hi. This game is great, I live 60 miles from KSC and have gone down there and watched launches or just step outside the house and watch them. I even vaguely remember watching Apollo 11 when I was a kid. So now I get to do what I've watched all my life WOO-HOO. Its interesting to find how different it is to know something (gravity turn, orbit, dv etc...) compared to actually doing it. Killed Kerbals on a regular basis for awhile. Now if I could only find a pause button IRL. The modding community here is outstanding as are the mods, actually the whole community here is friendly and helpful a very nice change to some other games sites I've been to. Thanks Squad, its really a great game, my all time favorite.
