[1.3] [Kopernicus] New Horizons v2.0.1 [2JUN17] - It's Back!
Illumia-Star replied to KillAshley's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
The only one that could possibly effect it is Kerbal Engineer, because I've seen a few KopernicusTech mods that are incompatible with it. Full list is: Kerbal Engineer. Kerbal Alarmclock. Joint Reinforcement. Modular Rocket System. Zero-point inline fairings. And Deadly Reentry. I'm on windows 7, using the 32 bit client. -
[1.3] [Kopernicus] New Horizons v2.0.1 [2JUN17] - It's Back!
Illumia-Star replied to KillAshley's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hi there! First off I want to say this is an amazing mod, and I've given rep for it. But I have a slight problem. When I go to launch KSP, it loads up fine and once I get into a save file (Brand new) it seems to load the default solar (Kolar?) system. I see that other people are having the bug and it's to do with Texture Replacer, yet I've never had TR on this Gamedata folder? Any thoughts op? Help would be greatly appreciated, I'd LOVE to play with this pack! -

Radioactive - A short Kerbal story to music
Illumia-Star replied to glen.mack's topic in KSP Fan Works
This is..Amazing. Like insanely amazing. Take ALL the rep, ALL OF IT. I was having a suckish day due to the passing away of a animator I've followed since I was younger, and generally have a poor day, but this has just made everything better. +100 everything. -
The Kira, a Manned Return Trip to Duna
Illumia-Star replied to Tavarin's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
I will become.. GOD OF THE NEW WORLD. *Dramatic Kerbal face* Ahem. Regardless, awesome post OP! -
It seems to flicker. Maybe its just the .Gif quality, but it could be a geyser of some sorts? What circumstances could lead to that though? No idea. It's not like Ceres is getting the tugs of Europa to heat it up..Food for thought!
-
I.Cannot.Plane. Seriously. Not once has the Illumian Empire invented a working aeroplane. Rockets? Pssh, easy. Hovercraft? We can do that. Interplanetary manned missions and colonys? You want that in pink or blue? Nope. no Aeroplanes. Not here. Realtalk: If anybody knows a good tutorial that'd be grand.
-
Manned landings on: Mun. Minmus. Duna. Eve, (Once accidentally, once to rescue them). Vall (This one wasn't legit, as I used hyperedit and I was testing a Jool-5 lander. But I'll put it here anyway.) And finally Laythe. Unmanned I've been everywhere. And I have a base on Minmus.
-
Laythe. ESPECIALLY with EVE and Better Atmospheres, have you seen it?! It looks awesome.

How Do You imagine the Planets and Moons of the Kerbol system?
Illumia-Star replied to mike9606's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Eve. A planet I have always imagined to be rather like a Cactus. Whilst cute and cool looking on the outside, contact with it will leave you stinging and hating the things. What I mean is we’ve all been there. Inexperience, Naïve maybe? We sent out a ship to Eve and upon being embraced with those candy-pink and purple clouds, we realized that maybe this would be a fun place to play chess or something whilst waiting in orbit. The sunrise is beautiful, a mix of yellows and greens contrasting against the rich purple really strikes awe into any Kerbonauts tiny, little (possibly kethane-fueled) hearts. But upon entering the embrace of those clouds you realize that it wasn’t as nice as it seems. Harsh winds and lightning storms flicker around, the craft is buffeted as it hurtles through the thick clouds. Visibility is at minimum. You panic, deploy the ‘chutes, which end up ripping your lander in half. You sink through the cloud layer and the silence of the planet startles you. The seas of poison purple could well be rocketfuel, which you could possible filter to get home.. If half your rocket wasn’t missing. Now, pensive, you sit and wait for rescue by the KSC. At least you have chess and a buddy to keep you company. The story of Yoger and Bob Kerman, stranded on Eve since year 1 day 64, rescued year 2 day 13. TL;DR, Eve is Marriage. -
The finishing modules were added to the Illumian Empire Space Outpost 1 "Golden Sunrise". Meanwhile, at the Illumian Space Center, Luke, Gunser and Billy-Bobile Kerman do some station spotting. Sadly, all they can see is Minmus.
-
Nice looking ship there OP! Anychance we could get a .CRAFT file? We love to do some dune surfing on Duna-- I-I mean conduct perfectly ethical and safe science on a cosmic body..Yeah. Mhm >~>

Awesome. Just..Awesome. - - - Updated - - - 'Tis a thing of beauty my friend.
-
Guys! Upon consideration, I think I know what the thing is! It's the Phantom of the Opera. - - - Updated - - - Oooh good lordy lord I remember that thing.
-
What have I started?! XD More than one face..Hmm... This summer, experience the thriller which shocked the Worlds. Where a planet, so close to the sun, has changed beyond all recognition..And gains the ghostly power.. OF SOUL ABSORBTION! Now, Jeb, Bill and Bob must rescue Jilsy and Fletchley Kerman, who are trapped within Moho. Will they susceed, or will they join Jilsy and Fletchley in.. THE FACE ON MOHO! (Coming to a cinema near you..Probably never).
-
Now you're probably wondering what the dickens I do mean about this. Well, whilst on a mission to Moho I discovered something rather... Interesting. Whilst the Jr-Sr orbiter and Lander probe was in orbit around the small, sun-baked, planet, I switched to the map view. What greeted my eyes upon examining said map view was an anomaly so ghastly, so terrifying I jumped! BEHOLD! THE FACE ON MOHO! *Fanfare* Scary, huh? ~Illumi-kins, your rocket loving dodgy uncle.

Why are transfers from solar orbit so inefficient?
Illumia-Star replied to Marclev's topic in KSP1 Discussion
If efficiency isn't a problem, maybe you have tonnes of fuel (Bad planning maybe?), would it be more efficient to go straight from a solar orbit or to go straight from the SOI of the planet? -
So we're still getting SteamDB updates.
Illumia-Star replied to Whirligig Girl's topic in KSP1 Discussion
It's not. The Kraken is, sadly, just a family of bugs within the games code that've been really hard to iron out for the devs! But the Kraken on one of the moons of Jool (Uhm..Bop? I think?) Is intentional. It's also rather cute for a demonic, craft eating space monster. -
I found the perfect Mun Flag-bearer

Illumia national Space Program. [Picture Heavy]
Illumia-Star replied to Illumia-Star's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Bob: “Ladies and Gentlemen, I think you know why we’re here today.†Jebediah: “Whoo!†Bob: “Yes, thank you Jeb..Now. Today marks the start of a new era of space exploration, and this time we’re being a bit more serious about it. No more Solid Rocket Boosters strung together with tape-†Bill: “Well, it was space-tape. Space-Tape fixes everything.†Bob: “As true as that is Bill, it just isn’t up to the safety standards we expect from a Space Program! Now. Our first mission as a program will be to put something in LKO. A communication satellite I assume, or something of the sort, and to develop a stage capable of getting light loads into orbit. To answer one of these, we’ve developed the Tri-Cube. And to answer the other, we have the Aurora light Lifter Stage. The launch is scheduled for tomorrow morning. I very much hope you can all attend.†The Tri-Cube 1, a small Com-Sat design for LKO communications. The Tri-Cube inside the fairing of the Aurora lifter stage. With the new rocket rolled out to the pad, everything was set for the launch of the ISP Tri-Cube 1. But, moments from hitting the spacebar, I realize my error in the staging! If I’d continued I would’ve decoupled my SRBS! Phew! Thankfully Gene hit in some commands to rearrange the sequencing and the countdown begun. The engines spooled up, and then the clamps holding them down were released. The first of, hopefully, many successes were away into the infinite blue! Gene: “Tri-Cube 1 has cleared the five thousand meter mark. We’re safely underway onto space, good job everyone. Take five. Hey, Erlock?†Erlock: *Looks over from the computer-control system* “Yes sir?†Gene: “We DID use proper strutting on this, right?†Erlock: “Errr…†Tri-Cube 1: "I can see my house from here!..Y'know, if I had a house that is." After a realization from Mission Control that our rocket had no proper strutting, we had to take it careful with the gravity turn. Wobbling was a problem, but thankfully we could jettison the Solid fuel boosters with no problem. The liquid engine throttled up to full power, from where it was at 50% to conserve fuel, and boost us further into space. They splashed down somewhere in the ocean, ready to be used again. The fairings are ditched, and the first stage drops away. Billy-Bobile: “Hey, Samden..Yo’ reckon we could strap some Kerbals onto that rocket? Y’know, go places..†Samden: *Sighs* “That’s the point, Billy. But we need communications first or else we can’t do anything.†Billy-Boblie: “Soo..We’re not making giant fireworks?†Samden: “No, Billy. No fireworks. That’d be bad if we were to, as you say, strap Kerbals onto that rocket. (How did you get hired again?..)†Whilst Samden, scientific director and second in command of the R&D center, and Billy-Boblie, head engineer of the VAB, discussed on the ground the logistics of strapping Kerbals to a rocket, said rocket was reaching Apoapsis and getting ready to circularize. I ended up putting this thing in a 350,00 AP by 346,000 PA orbit. Pretty good circularization skills, if I do say so myself! Beauty-shot of Kerbin, with the probe fully deployed and the booster ready to burn retrograde to return home. Gene: “Are you sure this will work Wernher?†Wernher Von Kerman: “Abosovutely! My designs are flawless!†Gene: “Well, hope you’re right. Begin Smart-deorbit in T-15.†Erlock: “Commencing burn in T-15 seconds!†The Smart Deorbit was a probe core on the booster stage, really. I like to keep things tidy, so this was the most effective way to return our booster stage to Kerbin. Not much to say but it made some pretty lights on the way down! "Nyyyooom!" Billy-Bobile's reaction to watching the re-entry of the booster stage. Missions to come in the Tri-Cube program: Tri-Cube 2-Polar orbit. Tri-Cube 3-Geosychronous orbit over KSC. Tri-Cube 4-Orbit around Mun. Tri-Cube 5-Orbit around Minmus. Tri-Cube 6 (Last)-First object to leave Kerbin’s SOI. -
No love, left it for a bit and no results. DX Thanks anyway! No safe mode on chrome as far as I'm aware, but I'll try the incognito mode. Thank you!

“The Illumia Space Program is the combined efforts of many major corperations on Kerlunia, a southern island continent on Kerbin. It is a pinnacle of space engineering, and a beacon into the future. Of course the world of warp-drives and time travel is far off from the primitive SRB we have now, but we can hopeâ€â€right?†-Gene Kerman, I.S.P’s Flight Director. Hey everyone! Welcome to my mission blog! I've been meaning to do this for a while, but just haven't found the time to sit down and start the blog. You'll have to excuse any spelling/grammar/punctuation, because I’m not the most literate person ever (Not because English is a second language, mostly because I just have real trouble with them!). This program will follow the I.S.P’s progress from launching command-pods strapped to SRB’s to huge motherships that will take crews of fifteen to the likes of Duna and Jool. Hope you all enjoy. Just a few things to note beforehand: 1.My pc isn’t the best, so don’t expect eye-candy screenshots. I’ll try my best to make them look pretty for you though! 2.I am using mods, but nothing gamebreaking. Mainly things like Kerbal Alarm Clock, Eviromental Visual Enhancements and Better Navball. But I also have a few part packs like B-9 Aerospace and KW-rocketry! 3.If you enjoy or like my blog/mission reports, please feel free to rep! (That’s the star button if you didn’t know!). But you don’t have to! 4.Feel free to leave criticism, reminders, advice and/or suggestions for missions. Mission 1 complete: Tricube 1 in a 350,000 orbit around Kerbin, equtorial. Mission 2: To be started.
