  1. This is all well and good, but will Karbonite integrate with kethane? Lol, jk =] Seriously great work so far guys! Can't wait to build all of these new rigs I'm dreaming up. Gonna be fun for quite a while.
  2. Yea, ORS doesn't like it when you muck around in there, lol. I'm sure what I'm trying is doable, but it's outside of my scope atm. I'll get some simpler mods running first.
  3. There's been some discussion on xenon conversion. RoverDude said he would eventually put up a poll to see what the community thinks.
  4. Okay, I've found resources.cfg that defines Karbonite, and I've also found the planetaryresources.cfg in the MKS folder that seems to define and list quantity per planet. It seems that I should change all of the planetary 'water' resources to 'salinated' and then redefine 'water' in a new .cfg. Hmm... I wonder if TAC would redefine water on it's own... don't wanna have multiples. Thanks RoverDude!
  5. I have a question that may be slightly off-topic... I'm also just learning how modding works, so bear with me =] I've copied your converter models and altered them to fill the gaps until EL conversion is integrated (converting ore to metal, metal to rocket parts) and they're working fine, but I'd like to take this a step further and change the water resource to something like 'salinated water' which needs to be desalinated for drinking. Which mod defines the water resource? I'm sure it's either ORS (probably) or one of the Umbra mods... just can't seem to find it. Thanks! Also: I just about have the MM coding in hand, next will be learning to model for KSP. Once I can do these, I'll be able to contribute in some way. Great job to the community!
  6. Couldn't agree more. As you've said many times, "Sharing is good" =] I may just have to learn some code and modeling for this. Love community efforts... makes things fun
  7. I'm really hoping Psyper jumps into this. I really dig his extension of Kethane that uses water to make oxidizer as opposed to kethane/karbonite. Is that crazy? I also like the idea of changing the default 'water' into 'salinated water' that needs to be refined into drinking water... or even coolant. Maybe I'm just a glutton, lol.
  8. I can dig that. While I'm not much of a coder, it doesn't seem like too much work to create a Karbonite Plus just from looking at the cfg files. I'd love to see it anyway =D
  9. @Psyper - Have you seen RoverDude's post on his upcoming mod called "Karbonite"? I think it may be right up your alley as it will be an alternative to Kethane, but with an open license which should make it more easily extendable. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/87335-Karbonite-A-cheerful-license-friendly-alternative-to-Kethane%21
  10. The only thing not working via these scripts are the converters, but after adding the lines in manually into the kethane config, that's working too =D
