  3. Last time I went to Pol I didn't have any unexpected explosions but I've learned to be cautious and descend at a very slow pace... It's pretty easy to test out moon landings now with the orbit editor built right into the troubleshooting menu (Alt+F12). Jett

  5. Tested my ability to land on and return from Tylo with a heavy mining lander which doubles as a propulsion unit for my interplanetary explorer craft. Jett
  6. It's not your typical SSTO since it uses only rocket engines but it can put a 60T ISS style space station in orbit and return back to KSC. *Assembly required... Jett

  9. I'm continuing to work on this design. I've turned it into an infinite range planetary explorer by adding an ISRU, drills, power, landing engines and enough fuel to get it out to Minmus for refueling. I'm also working on other "unique" designs I can turn into interplanetary explorer craft. Jett
  10. I'm also working on putting up an entire ISS style space station in one SSTO reusable launch. Here is the heavy SSTO launcher... This is the contents of it's cargo bays: And here is what the station should look like when assembled in orbit: The station features a lab, a cupola, a small scale ISRU, loads of science experiments, tones of power, communications, and docking ports as well as an RCS tug with a claw and finally a fully functional return capsule. The maximum capacity is 19 Kerbals but a recommended crew size is 8. Jett
  11. I find having a combination of Rapiers and jet engines is ideal. This design has 6 Whiplash engines and 3 Rapiers. Jett
  12. It can take up to 18 Kerbals into LKO and back... and look really cool doing it. To get to space just angle up to 20 degrees and continue until you run out of air (around 20Km altitude). Switch the mode of the Rapiers to closed-cycle and using hot key 1 and turn off the jet engines using hot key 3. You should have plenty of fuel to get to orbit and back.   13. This craft is designed for Interplanetary travel (notice the space plane attached that I use as a moon/planetary lander). The engine pod on the main spacecraft can also land and refuel using on-board ISRU units. This is capable of Jool 5 and a complete grand tour. The only planet that's out of reach is Eve - I can even land on Kerbin, do some exploring and return using the SSTO space planes. Right now I'm testing it at Jool and continuing to tweak it a bit.   15. That's exactly right, in addition there were more gas giant planets in the outer solar system. I doubt any of this will be added to the game now. I would just like it if there was a stable build that didn't change every 3-4 months and break all my stuff. Personally, I think Squad should freeze the game in it's current state and start working on Version 2.0.
  16. What would be cool is if they added bonus science for scanning all the anomalies to unlock hidden alien technologies... (wait wasn't that in the original game concept?)
  17. I know how to install mods. What I was asking is how difficult would it be for Squad to include this in the core game build... I'm assuming it would be not very difficult at all.
  18. I think there should be an anomaly scanner so that you can actually go out and find all of the anomalies in the game, instead of needing to look up their location on the internet and bumbling around until you trip over one.
