  1. The CSP17 "SkyOX" Completely Stock SSTO Cargo Spaceplane capable of putting over 40 tons into LKO (Lighter loads can be taken to HKO) and returning to the surface in one piece. Weighs around 280 tons when fully fueled and loaded down, and less than 120 tons on the return trip to Kerbin (makes the craft suitable for gliding to the runway). As one should expect, the parts count is a bit high, coming in at just under 500. This causes my computer to lag at about 1/2x speed... but still totally worth it! The only problem during flight is caused by the nature of the tilted engines whenever the center of mass begins to shift, which is why it has so much RCS and reaction wheels hidden inside . Possibly the most aesthetically pleasing, most sci-fi looking craft I've ever built. And it's my first (successful) Cargo SSTO! Edit: If anyone has any ideas on how to remedy the terrible looking nose (just stuck a ram intake on it) PLEASE TELL ME!!!
  2. Brobel, that is undoubtedly one of the best carriers I've seen! Its aesthetics are fantastic and it looks well balanced and well thought out. Super impressed with the D/V and relatively low parts count. I am jealous of your carrier building skills .
  3. Okay, so I decided to try my hand at this, although I know there have been many great submissions. I am submitting this craft as an independent engineer, and so I will allow for it to be used in whatever way you see fit. I present to you the Kratos Class Destroyer (or frigate or whatever the classification really is): https://www.dropbox.com/s/u6pucx4437kppm9/Kratos%20Class%20Destroyer%20v2%20%28LC%29%20Launcher.craft?dl=0 Specs: - Under 400 parts fully loaded* - 2.5-3km/s delta-v (enough to reach duna orbit from LKO)** - Unsure of TWR, but varies depending on engine selection** - 1-2 kerbonauts - Hybrid armor for a beautiful exterior (up to 3 layers in some places)! - Full launch system included! Armament: - 8 mini torpedoes*** - 4 small missiles - 1 Large Cluster Missile**** (this is a very unique weapon, see notes on how to operate) (The large missile pictured in this album is not the large cluster missile. It is a faster... much much faster, but less controllable, missile dubbed the "Falcon Punch" designed to punch through multiple layers of armor. Available upon request .) Notes: *"Fully loaded includes all weapons, including the relatively parts-heavy large cluster missile. Under 300 parts when unloaded, under 500 with included launch system! **Press 1 to toggle the Aerospike. Press 2 to toggle the two Atomic Engines. Delta-v based on using only nuclear propulsion. ***Stage once to activate, stage a second time to fire. Do this in quick succession. A small explosion may occur in the chamber - this is nothing to worry about. ****WARNING: When large cluster missile is on board, it is crucial to remember not to stage past the 4th small missile (the next stage will activate the cluster even if it is docked inside the Kratos!!!). Instructions: Undock missile and use the docking keys (i,j,k,l,h,n) to maneuver the missile out of the Kratos. Set target and pursue. Achieve a relative velocity of at least 100m/s to target. When 200-500m away from target, stage the missle. Watch in delight as any target in a 20m radius is reduced to shambles.
  4. So I finally decided to take a break from building military craft, as my creative juices began flowing slightly towards the civilian sector... Here is a station I built, along with a nifty little VTOL SSTO shuttle. The station sits in LKO at 130km, and features a full interior lounge, two observatories, 11 docking ports (5 std, 4 jr, 2 lg), and lodging for 20 kerbals (max capacity 30). My original intent was to build a functional, aesthetically pleasing space station to act as refueling station / transfer point / kerbonaut hub, all while keeping the part count under 250. Well, as always, the part count was higher than intended, though at ~370 it is still manageable and is able to serve its purposes with minimal lag. I would even venture to say that I could have 5 shuttles, 4 probes, and two larger ships docked at the same time without overwhelming lag. I'm pretty proud of it, but I really wish I had done a better job with the lighting, both interior and exterior... It currently has the name "Terminal One", though I think that's a pretty boring name... and the shuttle doesn't have a name... IDEAS? Let me know what you guys think, and whether or not I should build more stations in HKO and Mun / Minmus orbits. Thanks! Edit: As with all of my crafts, this is 100% stock.
  5. THIS IS SO COOL! Thanks ejudedude13 for pointing me here xD Maybe I will participate in some of these battles, as I believe my ships are superior to everyone else's (lol not really). Here is my fleet so far, from lightest to heaviest: The Gnat Combat Drone: The Hermes Light Fighter The Kratos Destroyer The Centauri Cruiser
  6. Show off your prized works of astronomical art! I want to see what ships you have flying around your fleets! The bigger, the better! (The smaller things can still be appreciated!) If you care to, you can include how many parts it is / how much it weighs/ what its purpose is in the fleet, etc. Here are a couple of my own both of which are my pride and joy! The sleek K.S.S. Hercules Also good as an external cargo ship The Mothership / Flagship / Capital ship, The K.S.S. Odyssey (took ~20 attempts to get in orbit, but after a structural overhaul, she finally went up without a hitch) 1200 parts! Not a clue what it weighs lol. 2 large cargo / docking bays, 10 small cargo compartments, 31 crew capacity. -Captain Kirkbal (if my pics aren't loading, it's because I haven't a clue what I'm doing... )
  7. Go big or go home! It's a pretty simplistic station with a pretty high parts count. Lots of ion engines along the inside of the ring. -Captain Kirkbal
