So I finally decided to take a break from building military craft, as my creative juices began flowing slightly towards the civilian sector... Here is a station I built, along with a nifty little VTOL SSTO shuttle. The station sits in LKO at 130km, and features a full interior lounge, two observatories, 11 docking ports (5 std, 4 jr, 2 lg), and lodging for 20 kerbals (max capacity 30). My original intent was to build a functional, aesthetically pleasing space station to act as refueling station / transfer point / kerbonaut hub, all while keeping the part count under 250. Well, as always, the part count was higher than intended, though at ~370 it is still manageable and is able to serve its purposes with minimal lag. I would even venture to say that I could have 5 shuttles, 4 probes, and two larger ships docked at the same time without overwhelming lag. I'm pretty proud of it, but I really wish I had done a better job with the lighting, both interior and exterior... It currently has the name "Terminal One", though I think that's a pretty boring name... and the shuttle doesn't have a name... IDEAS? Let me know what you guys think, and whether or not I should build more stations in HKO and Mun / Minmus orbits. Thanks! Edit: As with all of my crafts, this is 100% stock.
