I recently made a video showcasing some of the spectacular vistas awaiting explorers on Kerbin, with a little help from scatterer. :¬)
-
I assembled a sizeable space station around Kerbin, with quite a few solar panels. I was pretty pleased with how it turned out. :¬)

Thanks very much!

Hello, everyone! I've just recently finished and uploaded the latest video in my KSP YouTube series, inspired in part by Macey Dean. My series has been building up to the events in this video for some time now and I am very proud of my work, so I thought I'd take this opportunity to share it with you. I tried to capture the style of cinematic video reminiscent of Macey Dean's prestigious video 'Far From Home'. I hope you enjoy and feel free to leave a comment or any constructive criticism, my channel is still fairly new, so I would really appreciate it if you left any kind of feedback. Thanks!.

That is certainly a fine vessel, although I fear it would utterly destroy my PC.

I recently conducted a small battle between two sailing ships that I spent several hours designing. Both are fully functional, with an interior for the crew and working cannons. Each ship was around 400 parts, so controlling the ships and recording the action was an arduous task. I hope you enjoy.

Today I created a small battle between two sailing ships! Enjoy.

I assembled a fleet of naval ships to sail the high seas! I also showcased the fleet in a short video accompanied by the sounds of Vangelis. Enjoy!

The Oscar-B Awards! (Results Are Out!!)
SuperHappySquid replied to BagelRabbit's topic in Kerbal Network
I said this already (on page 9, I think) but it wasn't added to the original post so I'll say it again. I nominate by Hazard-ish for the "Best video overall" award. He's done other great videos but this one is particularly impressive! -
I'd like to submit my entry for the K Prize! This video documents the mission in it's entirety and no cuts were made. I imagine I could have landed back on the runway, but I'm still getting used to the new drag in 1.0, so I fell a little short. I hope the video is sufficient evidence, if not let me know and I'll re-submit a new mission with screenshots as well. Thanks!

Just downloaded 1.0 and tested some weapons. The cannons I used on my Maverick previously had a range of about 730m. Now wit hthe new aero model, they have a range of well over 7km! The Maverick ready for testing. Barely a few seconds after firing, the round accelerates to well over Mach 2. It lands off-shore, about 7.8km away from the KSC. Impressive, though I imagine this will make battles much more difficult. Speaking of battles, should I take my turn for the tank battle in version 0.90 or version 1.0?

I will nominate HatBat's latest short film 'Invasion' for the best artistic video. It shows off some gorgeous visuals as well as thrilling action sequences, do check it out! -

I nominate Hazard-ish for the best overall channel. He dabbles in a variety of a video genres and his latest video is simply incredible, I'll nominate it for the best overall video. -
Whilst waiting for the recent tank battle to get started, I decided to reflect on a comment Zekes made about my naval ships a while ago... 'A bit on the light side' How do you like them apples! This is essentially a replica of the Royal Navy Tribal class destroyers, as I wanted a good reference for building a larger ship. I tried to pay close attention to detail, it even has working Anti-aircraft guns. At the moment she's a prototype, but I'm still proud of her. Not tested in combat yet, but I have high hopes. The guns have a range of over 2.5km, so I won't have to worry about the lag when loading two of these ships. Anyway, any word on when this tank battle will start? I don't mean to be impatient, but our tanks have been sitting there for quite a few days.

Certainly! I'm afraid I'm not entirely sure how to present the coordinates properly, I hope these suffice. 3 36' 5" S 172 27' 46" W Here's the area on Kerbalmaps. There are several fairly high peaks in that area, and it's also fairly equatorial. I Hope this helps! -

I recently started a small Eve colony! It sits on the flat peak of a 6.7km mountain, so when the lander arrives it should be able to get Theoler Kerman into orbit with ease. To keep Theoler company I sent down a small probe named A.R.C.H.I.E (standing for Advanced Reconnaissance Craft and Hazard Identifying Equipment), who has the ability to carry Theoler around as well as perform science on the field. Eve Exploration One - Base camp. Objects from left to right: The Mission Flag, DuneBug One, A.R.C.H.I.E, Theoler, The Cargo Ultra-Light and the Scout Ultra-Light. Both aircraft in flight several kilometres above sea-level. Ion propulsion gives a sufficient push to keep the aircraft in the air, though I do still have to be careful with how much altitude I lose. The Scout Ultra-Light can be seen on the left, with Theoler at the controls. On the right, the Cargo Ultra-Light flies alongside Theoler, with A.R.C.H.I.E piloting it. You can just see his rear wheels poking out the bottom. Theoler Kerman gazed out across the hostile landscape as dusk settled over the mountain. Though the cosy and subdued interior of DuneBug One kept Theoler safe, he still longed for home, to view Kerbin's glistening blue oceans and rolling green grasslands from orbit. It would be a few months before his trip back to Kerbin arrived. He hoped that A.R.C.H.I.E could help him maintain his sanity as he dreamed of returning to Kerbin's amiable serenity. -
I'm pretty sure that ScriptKitty was the first to setup their tanks. I think we have a full roster of players, unless Spartwo or someone else joins as well.

KUSC forces have arrived on the scene! I've brought with me a medium and a light tank. The KUSC - Renegade and the KUSC - Maverick A. Both are reasonably well armed, armoured and mobile. I've marked my spawn with a flag and both tanks are about 7-8km from the other groups. I'm afraid I don't really know who's next, so I guess whoever is ready should just go. Well, it's been quite a while. I think someone is going to have to set up shortly. I'll place my tanks if we don't hear from anyone else soon.

You may indeed! Tell me if the link doesn't work properly. http://www./download/td3vco7054ut6a4/KUSC+Scout+Tank+-+Maverick.craft

Out of interest, how heavy is the LAT-1?
-
Nice drop ship! I'm going to have to make myself one of these...
-
Wow, the LAT-1 looks a lot like my very own light tank, the KUSC Scout Tank - Maverick. Great minds think alike, eh?
