  1. I see your 4390 and raise you 619 for a new speed of 5009 m/s. https://imgur.com/a/i2oAw3W
  2. @fulgur: The comrades of Baikerbanur spared no expense to provide a luxurious rescue. Incidentally, that was an SSTO. The booster is still in Kerbin orbit.
  3. Comrades, we have sent rescue from Baikerbanur. https://imgur.com/a/jhC25KP https://mega.nz/#!GNZBjSRA!ZaWsxQHoVVAcJkveBYtKjWfVE3xObo6Usd9j1k1eEHY Unfortunately we lost some solar panels due to collision with the fairing during launch. While you can complete the Minmus landing and return, if you aren't careful you can find yourself with no power. I turned the good ones toward the sun.
  4. I'm going ahead and posting a better answer because this thread is the top hit for "ksp inland space center hyperedit coordinates". If you want to hyperedit your craft to KSC2 launchpad, the hyperedit coordinates are lat 20.6632, lon -146.4209
  5. I've got this awesome SRB launcher for a single-launch space station lying around. I'll just replace the parking tug for fine tuning orbit with one that uses RCS instead.
  6. I'm starting to think the "solution" is to add 4 hours of battery to the rover.
  7. 4.7 hours / 4 for physical time acceleration is just under 1.2 hours. Totally doable amount of time. Of course that means you've gotta be able to drive a rover that's going 280m/s as far as your reactions are concerned.
  8. Resonance orbits. Excel plots. That's doing it the hard way. I'm eyeballing Hohmanns and plane change burns. The correction technique is to aim one day ahead take along a little extra delta V so I can "hover" for a day or two and wait for the SOI to reach me. Though for the Mun my eyeballing is so reliable I can hit the Mun without a midcourse burn.
  9. My whole reason for playing Talc was to try that Jool mission. Personally I think all those KSC biomes are exploity, but whatever.
  10. Caveman 1.4.3 Talc. Bonus feat: Threw a rock at Laythe and got science data back with a single launch. https://imgur.com/a/pWRDNgz
  11. I went and did it just because. Imgur: https://imgur.com/gallery/lOBtEeY
  12. I turned off re-entry heating to find out how many gees you can pull and discovered that clockwise orbit around the sun + kerbin intercept with PE of 30km = still has escape velocity. Re-entry heating glitched out though and believed the craft was dead before the solar panels broke off. Boo.
  13. Hey man. I've got rockets that don't make it into orbit if you don't do a loop.
  14. He never did try; else he would have discovered you can't control 2 ships at once and therefore can't possibly de-orbet the fueling satellite while his ocean liner is still moving.
  15. This is ridiculous, but somebody just might do it anyway. I'd rather just do separations to orbit, but I can't capture video either way.
  16. A craft with only one flea left hits the water over 900km/h. With no decouplers there doesn't seem to be any re-entry profile for any craft.
  17. I got into orbit. Is the EVA return from orbit still possible? The ship can't make it down. I tried to EVA re-enter and failed.
  18. I hold that command seats for transfers abuses the fact that KSP has no life support.
  19. I love this challenge. Too bad I suck at building stuff like that.
  20. Quick-docking a ship capable of landing on Tylo again would be a marvel to behold.
  21. Go for it. You'll probably have to change orbit height to I don't know what.
