  1. I just uploaded the color settings for the Real Solar System mod, please tell me if you encounter any issues, like a color too bright or with the wrong hue.
  2. You can make it brighter if you go in the settings menu, no need for Ambient Light Adjustment.
  3. I will investigate this EVE issue tonight, in the meantime I suggest you to try putting "Ground ambient light override" to zero, and maybe try to change the other settings such as "Vacuum ambient light level". DO NOT remove or comment anything fron Settings.cfg, use the menu instead. If you still have issues, previous versions are available in CurseForge.
  4. I'm not sure but I think my latest update fixed it, I didn't have any issue when I tried it, could you please try and confirm?
  5. and logs https://www.dropbox.com/s/g17gx6i2w5mpr5c/Planetshine.rar?dl=0 Hope it helps This is now fixed with the latest release (0.2.1), can you please try and confirm?
  6. Lol thank you! but this mod is way simpler than the big ones like FAR or EVE - - - Updated - - - and logs https://www.dropbox.com/s/g17gx6i2w5mpr5c/Planetshine.rar?dl=0 Hope it helps I could not reproduce the issue but I think I found the cause: I will release a fix today.
  7. That was my goal, to complete what I felt was missing to push the beautification even further ^^
  8. Ok, this mod might get bigger than what I planned, it might completely handle all ambient lights, whatever the altitude, orbit or landed, and for the different times like sunrise and sunset. A full moon will illuminate the night, and no moon will mean pitch black.
  9. I'm not sure, because I just realized that "vacuumAmbientColor" didn't work on the surface of planets with atmosphere, I will need to work a bit on it. When I get it to work I will add sunrise and sunset ambient lights for sure, on the ground as well as in space.
  10. It works, but not with the right colors. I will soon release a color file for RSS, maybe in a few hours
  11. Version 0.1.4 released with "KSP Add-on Version Checker" included: you won't need to manually check for updates anymore! I plan to update it almost everyday for at least a week probably. Could someone help me by explaining how I could implement a diffuse wrap shader for simulating an area light? I want to avoid using 3 lights for that.
  12. Thank you! No at all, it's related to the real word definition of "planetshine". (I'm now listening to it, "Earthshine" by Solar Fields, thank you for the discovery! )
  13. This mod does it too, I will try to make it clearer in the first post, you are not the first one to ask.
  14. Thank you. Yes I had already planned to use it, too many things to do >_< - - - Updated - - - Yes it does replace it.
  15. Done, my new mod covers those issues: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/96497
  16. I'm already planning to provide separate specific config files for mods that change the planets/moons colors
  17. By the way, I want to rename this plugin to "Planetshine" or "Albedo", what do you think? I'm planning to do actual planetshine in this mod as well, and I like the name. This is planetshine: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planetshine Albedo is defined as "the fraction of Sun’s radiation reflected from a surface"
  18. I think it depends on your screen too, my screen at home has very good contrast and can display the whole light spectrum, but the screen at my office makes my screenshots look really dark, and the reflection barely visible. I'm currently working on adding an in-game GUI for the settings, do you think I should add a global saturation setting as well?
  19. I agree! And I'm also looking for a good skybox to go with them, but I don't have much time to look for one right now.
