[1.3.1] Ferram Aerospace Research: v0.15.9.1 "Liepmann" 4/2/18
UristMcKerbin replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I've heard when 1.0.2 released it had a lot of broken aerodynamics. Does I need to seek for config fixes with FAR enabled. I've installed FAR and 1.0.2 and now not only can launch not flipping rocket, but can't even deploy chutes - they are cut at 38km at 2km/s speed due to 'aerodynamic forces or over-heating'. I'm FAR veteran and get used to flipping rockets but they are overflipping now. EDIT: also with FAR chutes start deploying far more earlier - I've set them to 0.01 atm and they deploy at 50km. How they found 0.01 atm at 50km is the mystery of mysteries. EDIT for EDIT: they somehow manage to be cut at 50km due to forces (no acceleration applied). Even umbrella is better.- 14,073 replies

What's wrong with my installation? 0.90 KSP, 1.0.2 version of PP, 2.5.8 - module manager, no RealFuels and stuff. And no option to fill damned tanks with fuel (solid and xenon as well). Oh, forgot to mention - all my carefully assembled spacestations and asteroid mining facilities destructed violently after installation of this mod.

[1.3.1] Ferram Aerospace Research: v0.15.9.1 "Liepmann" 4/2/18

There is code in .part for B9 intakes to make them better at higher altitudes and speed (which doesn't make any difference anyway), but it is disabled for FAR/NEAR, so one can expect that FAR simulates better math for them, though there is still no difference, leaving B9 intakes and stock structural intake complete garbage. Is it supposed to be so?- 14,073 replies

[1.1.2] Kerbal Attachment System (KAS) 0.5.8
UristMcKerbin replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Version is obviously 0.90 (not sure that KAS is reverse-compatible). Actually any old craft that was created before updating and contains KAS modified parts (I had no crafts without them) is affected. Log contains probably only one KAS-related message, '[Warning]: File 'C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Kerbal Space Program/KSP_Data/../GameData/KAS/addModule.cfg' does not exist'. But mentioned file neither exists in archive. Somethimes parts are flying away at lightspeed (actually at NaN speed), crafts disassemble or start rotating insanely. I've been noticing same weird behaviour since the time when I've started playing KSP with KAS (0.21), but it used to happen only when I start assembling enormous crafts. -
[1.1.2] Kerbal Attachment System (KAS) 0.5.8
UristMcKerbin replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Updated KAS up to .4.10 (from version which was compatible with previous version of the game), and all my old crafts started desintegrating on load. Any ideas on workaround? My crafts relied on it, so it will be a lot of save-editing to remove KAS completely.
