Since the Gemini command pods are hinted to be of Earth origin, why not make it look like kerbals painted over the original capsule (the United States logo) with the Kerbal States thing?
-
Wow... that's kinda cool.
-
What about a planet with liquid metal oceans? Or an atmosphere made of metallic crystals? What could be done with that planet? Could it be mined for materials?
-
Another question: What about atmospheres with crystals of asbestos, or some other crystalline thing?
-
I can't seem to use the "money cheat"
I use Linux, so would the key be something different?
-
Talk to _Augustus_ about converting to PF:CE Revived, so you can get more attention.
-
All I can think of while reading this is...
RUDOLPH THE DC'ED TAUREN!
-
This is me:
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198080176010/
I was wondering if DMP would be an option.
Although, I do have a large amount of mods...
Would there be a static mod list?

Just downloaded texture replacer yesterday. I got a texture pack, and immediately noticed, bill was a blond female kerb.
i quickly changed him back to a guy, and gave him a small beard.
Yeah, whenever I get one of those packs, he's always a girl...
-
I guess this is a thread where you share TextureReplacer suit textures, kerbal textures, etc.
I don't have any, but I would be glad to receive some, and for people to share theirs!

When I was making a planet for _Augustus_'s new PF:CE Revived, I was contemplating planet atmospheres and oceans. I was wondering if a planet could have an atmosphere of dry ice crystals, and maybe oceans of liquid nitrogen.
What do you guys think? What are some crazy atmosphere and ocean combinations that you can think of? What is possible?

Just copy gale_color and rename it to gale_map, and change the flightglobals to some random number, as right now it shares a flightglobals with Sentar.
Put the first config into a .cfg file anywhere, and the second one into RealSolarSystem.cfg.
Also it's radius is barely 14 km and it has an atmosphere... what?
Sorry, I have no idea what the radius and mass should be.
Edit: So now, when I followed your directions, this happened:
And the orbit is still a blue line in space, with a velocity of NaN and an altitude of a crazy negative number.

Call up the debug window (Alt F12) and then hold down the left ALT key for something like 5-10s. You can then, ehm, "adjust" all your resources.According to reddit...
"...open up the debug menu with Alt-F12, find the page with the various cheats (like part clipping, I think the tab is called Gameplay Tweaks) then hold Alt for a couple seconds. Some buttons should appear to let you raise/lower funds, science, and reputation."
EDIT: Ninja'd.
Thanks guys!

Career mode. Use the money cheat to give yourself an unreasonable amount of money and convert income to science with strategies (I forgot which one). It'll take you one day to unlock everything and then you're exactly where you want to be.
I don't recall a money cheat...
-
I wanted a mode awhile ago in .25 that was like Sandbox, which you didn't have science, all parts are unlocked, but there are contracts.
Would that be possible?

0.0.....
show me the config...
I just noticed that I didn't put the textures in the Kopernicus config, but I dunno how to fix that, as I can't find any textures matching that _map thing.
First config: @Kopernicus {
Body
{
name = Gale
flightGlobalsIndex = 18
Template
{
name = Duna
}
Properties
{
description = A world wiped clean of life by insane winds, at an estimated speed of 650 miles per hour. It has an atmosphere full of dry ice crystals, cooling the world to -145 degrees Fahrenheit. Discovered only recently, the planet was another chance for a planet made of ice cream.
radius = 12420
mass = 2.2413e+3
geeASL = 0.3
}
Orbit
{
referenceBody = Sun
color = 0,0,1,1
inclination = 34
eccentricity = 9
semiMajorAxis = 160000000000
longitudeOfAscendingNode = 0
argumentOfPeriapsis = 0
meanAnomalyAtEpoch = 0
epoch = 0
}
ScaledVersion
{
Material
{
texture = KopernicusTextures/Sentar_map
rimColorRamp = KopernicusTextures/Sentar_rim
rimPower = 2.06
rimBlend = 0.3
}
}
}
Second config:
Gale{
SSBump = GameData/KopernicusTextures/Bullwinkle_normal.png
PQS
{
Gale
{
PQSMod_VertexHeightMap
{
heightMap = GameData/KopernicusTextures/Bullwinkle_height.png
}
Add
{
PQSMod_VertexColorMapBlend
{
vertexColorMap = GameData/KopernicusTextures/Gale_color.png
blend = 1.0
order = 9999993
}
}
}
}
}
You've probably noticed that I'm using Bullwinkle's heightmap. That's what I'm doing for now... until I can make my own.
The color map is just an edited version of Bullwinkle's.

Kaiser's coloring theoretically is possible.
Here's how to make your own planets: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/88168-Early-development-0-24-Kopernicus-Planetary-System-Modifier?p=1617391#post1617391
I still don't know what to do...
Do you have to make some kind of texture?
What config(s) do you make and/or edit?
EDIT: I'm adding a moon to Boris, but I don't know what I should add for the mass, radius and orbit things.
EDIT 2: I've messed with the mass and radius, but how do I do the radius?
EDIT 3: Success! Kinda...
I might've messed up along the way... The orbit isn't right, the planet is really bumpy and it seems to have Sentar's texture.
-
The licensing was prohibitive, and the system was really dumb and couldn't ever exist in real life.
Shoot, it was my favorite system...
By the same token, I don't think Kaiser's coloring could exist... could it?
Also, how would I make my own planets?
-
Your name has 4 letters.
4-1 = 3
ILLIUMINATI CONFIRMED!
-
Where did Urania go? I don't see it in the OP or in-game...
-
Annnnnnnd, it works, with no lag!
I think it's a combination of your update and my linux.
Thanks a ton! At first, I was skeptical, but now, I'm not.
Updates coming soon.
-
Now you don't even need to install the dependencies. They're included!
Do you have the licence?
-
I still can't figure out how to install this mod.
I guess I might try it in 0.90.

Considering that the stock ksp atmosphere is the equivalent of beef soup, is it possible that the KerbalEDU atmosphere (or better yet, normal KSP) be replaced with something like FAR/NEAR?
Just a question.
