  1. That was a rocket I had on the launch pad (titled Cheep ship). The report specifically says that the terrier (and a sepatron and LF tank) collided on the launchpad, whereas the Hydra was on the runway. In fact, the first screen shot of the Hydra is at 0:11, and you can see no visible explosions. I think this stemmed from the fact I saw the rocket blow up and quickly switched to it during takeoff. Regardless, I'll redo the challenge, hopefully with a faster speed
  2. Here's my humble entry! Quickloaded near the end (so I could land on the runway), which is why the F3 screenshot doesn't show my proper distance.
  3. This would be pretty cool! I don't have much experience or taste with photo editing software, but here's my take on it.
  4. Glad the rules were changed so we couldn't disable heat! Regardless, the Hydra Mk II is back and with a few modifications it performs surprisingly well, achieving a max speed of 2,536 m/s! I think I can get it past 2,600 with a bit more work
  5. Sorry, didn't see that in the rules. Here is my new and improved submission, complete with an unattached probe! My time is now not only legal now, but much lower at 18:48
  6. My entry to MID-Q, with a time of 20:44! This was my first speedrun (and second attempt), so I'm pretty happy with how this turned out!
  7. My entry is the Hydra Mk.ii, top speed 2,899 m/s with a max altitude of 25,410. I hope screenshots are OK: I did my best to document the flight, from takeoff to...obliteration.
  8. When you spend two hours planning a KSP mission on paper, math and all...because you're waiting for your 30 ton spaceship equipped with 1 nuke to complete it's hohmann transfer burn so that it'll intercept with Jool in 8 years. Also, when you keep a timetable of all your missions so that you can run 5-6 at once.
  9. Built in .9, this was my first space station! Not the grandest, but I'm pretty proud It was called Atlas Station, and at a point actually worked in conjunction with another station by the name Scorpio around the Mun (Atlas was in LKO, of course). Ships would fly from Kerbin to Atlas Station, rotating out Kerbals and delivering craft to Atlas that would then be taken by one of the MMM (Munar Messenger Modules) to Munar orbit, where they would dock with Scorpio station to refuel/pick up crew and descend to the surface (not necessarily in that order). This was also how Scorpio Station was assembled. Alas, I can't find any images of Scorpio Station right now. At it's max, Atlas Station had 529 parts and a tonnage of 336.45. Not as good as a shot, but on the right end you can see one of the two MMM (Munar Messenger Module) docked to the station, with a craft awaiting a ride to the Mun docked to it. A MMM (left) transporting a MM (Munar Module) to Munar orbit, where it would then land, dock with Scorpio station and repeat.
  10. Really? I'm loving normal career! I've already landed and returned from Duna, and the game's providing a nice challenge.
  11. Wanderfound, RAPIER glow effects are meant to stay until the engines cool down and the new thermodynamics mean it takes them a long time to do so
  12. Just wanted to clarify this, as I've seen some people confused and was confused about it myself at first. KSP's site is currently not accessible at https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/, and in order to download 1.0 you have to go to https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/en/. :D1.0!!!!
  13. Guys! Don't go to https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/, the new site is at https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/en/
  14. XD sorry about the hype walls! There's just so much Hype!!!
