  1. Cloning extinct species is a generally bad idea. The world is so different than it was back then. It might require a complete habitat recreation in a pressurized volume, but that's a worst-case scenario. It should be decent... But predator protection ( IE Humans) would be a must have. A custom built reserve is a good idea.

  2. I'm sure that it can happen, just look at the KSP Community Cubesat project. You just need to get this off the ground and get enough community members to help out. Okay, maybe not "just need to", but that would be a good start.

    Maybe it'll become a megathread?

EDIT: Divide the game development into steps that add up to your final goal, you want to build a foundation to work on first, not the whole skyscraper

    End EDIT

    anyways, good luck.

  3. Well, the size (digitally) of a 3d model isn't really determined by the number of polygons. It's determined by how much it takes to represent those polygons.

So, if SQUAD could figure out how, they could possibly lower RAM requirements for the current parts. Then, and only then, we can consider 5 meter parts.

Other than that, yes. Eventually there is going to be a lot of planets, and to keep part-count low for huge ships going to GP-3 or ( crosses fingers) 4, it's a must-have.

Also, I think it's a better idea to make the 3.75 meter parts have slightly better mass ratios, and then the 5 meter parts could have even bigger ( but not by much) mass ratios.

  4. I have an idea for a KSP trailer for version 1.0.

My idea is to play "In the Hall of the Mountain King" while playing a compilation of KSP stuff. Starting with launches and when it gets more upbeat it switches from launches to crashes. I know 1.0 isn't anywhere near finished, but I think it's good to plan ahead.

if you have ideas or wish to build on mine don't hesitate.

    Thanks.
