I'm having problems attaching air intakes. They seem to snap in to place and when I click to attach they do not stay. I had a similar problem involve IR with an accidental duplicate copy of files but this even happens with the stock parts. I have updated my output log. https://www.dropbox.com/s/pm9wu4dn1aaq6i7/output_log.txt?dl=0 I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Nick

I play for the phallic symbols

Anyone know a safe way to disable MKS systems? I only really want to harvest water. I have no desire to set up all the modules and make spare parts, punch cards, etc. I've already deleted the parts that make those. I want just the habitation units that feed on electric charge.

You Will Not Go To Space Today - Post your fails here!
Delrey replied to Mastodon's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I was trying a Kolniya orbit around the sun contact. Launched the ship with about 11000 delta v. A previous mission to collect low solar science took about 5000 dV to drop down. Moved into a near Kerbin solar orbit. Plane changed at the descending node and dropped my periapsis to the a region close to the desired orbit. Months later I began circulurization burn. Came up about 140 dV short. How close have you been to success? -
I don't see the economic benefit

I've thought that when I do a manned landing i'll have mini mech suits for the kerbals. 1.5 gravity is nothing the play with

Space Race! Idea for KSP game with friends
Delrey replied to Captinfannin's topic in KSP1 Discussion
What if I don't have any friends? Please advise. -
What are the feats that you've accomplished in KSP?
Delrey replied to Columbia's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Once I ignored my family and friends for days while designing a massive warp/antimatter fueled ship. I couldn't get it to orbit. I ended up talking to them later. They seem like nice people. -
My first career in .25 I killed Jeb during a ballistic reentry from a munar orbit. When I set out to land on Duna the crew boarded KSS Jebediah's Will. The ship looked pretty good and performed. Wish I had a pic. I have a strong affinity towards my growing Minmus orbital station called Kesh in my current save.

Telescopes Discussion/Suggestion
Delrey replied to Kishmas's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I completely agree that visibility of celestial bodies should be dependent on flybys or telescope images. I'm thinking along a fog-of-war type visibility based on what you've imaged. -
What's your average cost per ton to orbit?
Delrey replied to Brainlord Mesomorph's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Well I just launched my first attempt at a recoverable second, orbital injection speed. Part of the interstage fairing exploded causing one radial chute to go. The ship (debris) ran out of power and I had trouble zooming inside the ship to activate the reserve battery. Mistakes were made on this go. Once I get this sorted out I'm going to work on the first stage. -
I like Lunaran's ideas

I saw a picture and it looks like the goo feels right at home

I make things up and convince myself it's from kerbal mythology. Delrey was the name of my first mun program. I did name my standard crew/utility capsule/service module Hiller after Will Smith's character in Independence Day. It was on.

I've played on a plane

I made my own folders for electrical, fairings, ship parts (larger structural stuff), nuclear (interstellar), etc. I then deconstruct everything and sort it. This helps bc I have the parts I actually use often in logical spots and I can see stuff I don't use and delete it to save RAM

How do you guys feel about orbital debris? I just started having probe cores on my orbital injection stages to deorbit. I have a good amount of stuff floating around already; some large stages in LoKO. Do you just terminate them in the tracking station? Does the asteroid grabber work on these? Del

Is there any kind of 'ending' to career mode?
Delrey replied to SignalCorps's topic in KSP1 Discussion
You've got to deorbit the Mun to win -
Do you use the docking aligner?
-
I crashed a plane on a tset flight and Jeb died. The game crashed and kept the crash; my previous save was too far back to justify. My first manned craft to Duna was named Jebediah's Will in his honor.

I've been saying yard sale which is what we say skiing when you eat $#!% and all your gear is scatter about the hill side

Never heard it

As stated by Elon regarding the failed landing last week. That acronym definitely has a place on and around kerbin

Here is the link. Thanks in advance. How do I identify what that line 49 error is? https://www.dropbox.com/s/pm9wu4dn1aaq6i7/output_log.txt?dl=0 Del -
I cheated. I 'm running interstellar and I tried a Minmus seismic survey contract. I was on track to do it and I knew I needed impacters. I landed a probe with a sensor and released my first nose cone with Ullage motors on it. I angled them so it spun; it looked pretty good and shot straight. I switched to it as a piece of debris, followed it in and got the notification of data recorded. Apparently this does not satisfy the contract. I hit F9 and tried again. This time the science yield from the impact dropped from 250 to 150. Still didn't fulfill the contract location. I thought my aim might be off and reloaded and tried again. Well I did this a few times before realizing that the seismic sensor was not resetting. I ended up getting 15.5 science and wasn't able to fulfill the contract. I canceled the contract, took the hit but was pretty upset about the science so I altered my save file to add the 250. I'm still going to miss out on about another 270 from my other failed attempts. Also, make sure you have the power to transmit. Delrey
