I know boosts might be nice with rovers, but fuel tanks just add weight and make things hard! why?! -

Mk2? Why? Why would you do that? makes no sense -
Don't ever use hyper edit off of Kerbin

Moho is really tough with transfers -

Low Gravity areas are hard. On gilly, I once got my Apoapsis in a safe orbital height -
How do you make something that appears below the post every time.

Whats with the fuel tanks in all of your rovers? -
I can get planes up to 2250m/s when I'm attempting to get a spaceplane into orbit. I achieved this speed all with jet engines. With SSTOs, the main goal is to pick up as much speed as possible and then if you picked up enough speed, you can circularize with the rockets, but jet engines are key Oh yeah, and jet engines begin losing intakes around 33km - - - Updated - - - Planes can get going really fast when utilizing jet engines. They start to get intake air deprived at 35km

Rover Place - Share Your Rovers and Rover Journeys Here

I logged 12 hours on a trip to the pyramid anomaly. Didn't get all the way there -
This is a thread to share rovers. Though rovers are mainly used in career and science due to their infinite mobility, they just add a sense of accomplishment to your missions in sandbox. Its great being able to go around the surface freely. Rovers are great! This is the place to share your routes and your rovers. Now, lets share our rovers! GG! Here are some rover challenges: - Get to the highest point on Kerbin without going airborne - Make a rover that can go across small bodies of water (radial intakes float) - Take a journey from the KSC to an anomaly all in a rover (I got really bored half way through) - Make a rover that can climb 90 degrees - Make a rover that can convert to a plane and fly! These challenges are just for fun. No strict rules, just use common sense. Its okay to use mods, but lets not get cheaty Thanks, and lets see those rovers!

Moho, Dres, Eeloo... No Atmosphere, No Moons, No Game

I had a ship, prepared to get all they way out to dres, and I didn't add a back up docking port... The engines couldn't fire. they were getting blocked! I tried repositioning the lander but I just had to give up on the mission... -
I just realized something very bothersome while trying to construct a Mk3 spaceplane... The gears pop while you try to take off! They need to add larger gear like the ones in B9 Aerospace

Tylo... We all know it's there, But few have conquered it

The poll numbers are interesting... 1\3 have landed and came back -
Moho, Dres, Eeloo... No Atmosphere, No Moons, No Game
CalMacDa replied to CalMacDa's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Yes. It's easy to make a lander that can get to all of those, but Moho gets tough because it's slightly bigger so you have to make a lander over sized if you are doing a planet hopper mission on all 3 planets -
I agree. You should have to take the EVA fuel from monopropellent tanks

Interesting. With a big enough mechanism, you could lithobrake (use the ground to stop you). Thats tough though. Never tried it -

Tis is a thread for the discussion and sharing of ships from Tylo. Read the title! That is how I view Tylo. It will be interesting to see how some of you have landed on it. It's as big a Kerbin, but parachutes are useless due to the the lack of an atmosphere. So, share your magnificent ships that have conquered this monstrosity and we'll see what has worked and failed. -
Oops... My bad. Sorry mods and admins. Please don't hurt me
-
Sorry... Was making the poll after I had already submitted the thread - - - Updated - - - What I find the most unrealistic is the planets masses cleared to their size. Kerbin is smaller than the moon, but has 1/3 the gravity of earth... The density of the planet is higher than the density of the most dense known substance... I wish they would increase planet size, but that itself could cause issues
-
KSP is a great game, but I think we can all agree that there are lots of unrealistic things. This thread is to pick apart KSP and find everything wrong with it we can. NOTE: KSP is an awesome game... This is just to find things wrong. I think a lot off can agree though that KSP is the best space simulator in the world. Vote in the poll!

Fact of the day! I didn't know that! -
I have only been to the ones with atmoshperes, but tommorow I launch a mission to Dres with a station and prove I will leave there
