What's so hard about breaking 300? (I tried vector engines, but they ate up fuel too quickly and were hard to control.)

Hardest thing I ever did? Building a there-and-back moon rocket in the demo. It took me two weeks of late nights. XD

Today I made a flying drilling platform. It's short-range, a bit wobbly on landing, and needs solar panels, but since it can do loop-the-loops, who cares?

Can anything make a fix so the game will let you activate engines in fairings?

"Normal operating temps" must vary by laptop/manufacturer, then, because I have a Sager NP8651 (i7 4720HQ, GTX 970M, 8 GB RAM) that runs at 52-56C with KSP on highest settings. IMO, anything above 70C is worrisome.

Staging mishap on launchpad. All the boosters fall off. And the remaining engine doesn't have enough TWR to lift off. Heheheheh.

Today I sent a plane equipped with three ramjet engines to 50,000 meters and flew straight down at full power. Only the cockpit was left, but I broke the 1050 m/s contract! Any suggestions for how to get the 2500 m/s contract?
