  1. *bought a new computer* *is dead broke*
  2. That's not true. While trying to make a game that everyone will like WILL lead to a sub-par product, trying to accommodate another age demographic, one that already plays the game, is completely different. This is basically just more difficulty options to supplement the "needs to be harder!" cries of the teens and young adults.
  3. Without those parts, I doubt I could have gotten to the Mun. The monstrosity I built for a Mun-and-back mission couldn't do a proper Hohmann transfer without either blowing up in-atmosphere or running out of fuel when transferring orbit. So I just flew straight up when the Mun was overhead. Now I have to try out the new demo. A week of unsuccessful rocket launching awaits me. =-=
  4. As a rule, for me, a project is too big if the friend can't do it by themselves over however much time is necessary. Just how big are "big coding projects X and Y"? You could share the load by telling your friend, "For every 100 lines of code (or something) that you program, I'll program 100 lines of code to match yours." That way, even if you get the hardest bits, your friend is still doing a big chunk, and he can't drop it entirely.
  5. I'd like to be cremated and have my ashes thrown into the sea. I don't want to stay in one place for my relatives to cry over. Or maybe I should be chopped up to train working dogs. Hmmm.
  6. Supercooled coilgun slugs, mebbe? o_O
  7. What procedure are you following to install the mods? And what exactly does "can't install" mean? Are the mods not showing up in your game, or is there some other problem?
  8. The equation for velocity of a satellite in circular orbit is velocity = sqrt((G*m)/r), where G is the gravitational constant, m is the mass of the body (Kerbin), and r is the height above the center of mass of Kerbin. So the answer to your question is v = sqrt((6.673×10−11 * 5.2915793×1022)/640,000) = 2348.89297 m/s.
  9. It's better than before. I was actually able to get to the Mun this time. Although now all my 200+ Mun science is marooned because of way too little fuel on the return stage.
  10. Valentina is still alive. She's been testing out rescue crafts to rescue Jeb, who got marooned on the Mun after his return stage didn't have enough fuel to even get into orbit. Meanwhile, Jeb is kicking himself, because Valentina got to try out the brand spanking new Mk. 2 Inline Cockpit before him.
  11. Oh yes. I just made a first-try craft that burns up when flying vertical at 1000+ m/s. Heeheehee. Optimization time! - - - Updated - - - Can you make a category for records with reentry heating off?
  12. To Jool we go!!!!! If the Kraken doesn't kill us, anyway . . .
  13. We can place stuff on engines now! And those radial drogue chutes are TINY. o_O
  14. The new chase cam is BEAUTIFUL. I will be using it much more often. Oh, and intakes take in a decent amount of air now! YAY!
  15. What is that THING between the fuel tanks? A giant calculator?
  16. My beef with Procedural Fairings is that they only have one size of fairing base. Seeing as there are several different sizes of parts in KSP, I would be disappointed if Procedural Fairings was integrated into the stock game without modification. - - - Updated - - - Probably either an antenna or !!SCIENCE!!.
  17. Do not show the Magic Boulder LOLcats.
