  1. So with the new runway lights flashing at me, being modeled after a precision landing lighting system. It would be fantastic if KSP had one of the runways set up with an ILS. basically, it's a set of bars in your NAV ball that guide you from far away to tell you your left/right off center line, and high or low of glidepath ( normally 3 degrees. The two bars could automatically show up when you are aligning with the runway and guide you in. Would make landing planes much easier esp when setting up from far out with a janky design. There was a mod for ksp1 I played with briefly, so I believe technically it's possible.

  4. I have been trying to play with launching large structures. It has been near impossible, But one thing that seems broken. I can't for the life of me get the entire structure to weld together. There is always a piece hanging somewhere.
  5. Just ran into this one as well. Can't seem to figure out how to fix it. Even tried closing the game and reopening. Can't get anything to go to the pad
  6. Yeah I've tried some things. But I like building space stations... And that's hard enough without everything vanishing and glitching after three hours of work
  7. Anyone else report this one yet? I seem to be having trouble making a trust like space station with a grid of six-way connectors and docking ports. Numerous times when trying to attach to ports together, one of the ports will flip 90°
  8. Awesome, I was fighting that for two hours two days ago. Couldn't figure out why I couldn't get control and even made it to testing separation on the pad with the communication bug showing up
  9. SO i rebuilt with a Kerbal onboard... With it manned station holds steady. Even if I attemt to EVA, instantly spinning. Guess Bob is on station SAS control for now
  10. i had to disable all my joystick inputs couldn't get the game to accept any commands from it AH I have an idea. Its probe controlled... Its possible the controls are gettign stuck full lock right/ left as i'm going out of comm range?
  11. It will not sit still, just slowly keeps spinning faster and faster at 190,000 meters up. also AP and PE are fluctuating continuously by +- 100 meters
  12. I tried making a super heavy launcher with the new cone openable cargo bar bay. Opened the nose and cargo bay to reveal my captions yacht . The mini rocket is floating in the middle of the cargo bay... but I can't figure out how to release it.
  13. And yes, it has problems, but they will fix them. No point in refunding until then as your going to buy the game anyway when its " complete"
  14. I had the ship spinning issue on a mun attempt as well. Couldn't figure out if it was a time warp issue or... But it also seemed to change my PE from 5000 to impact. Couldn't recover it and started over I couldn't figure out how to keep the mun PE visible while planning a cleanup maneuver node. So I was just randomly dragging things to see what effected it
  15. Has anyone been able to get a joystick to work? I can bind some settings to my Thrustmaster t1600 but it seems to have no control yet. how are you supposed to do a smooth gravity turn with no analogue control?

  17. Ok so I see Jeb can can hold nodes now. and I think there are maneuver node now and some Delta V info in the build screen. So getting somewhere. I suppose KSP does have a vanilla docking mode I could try using. Might not need Mech Jeb for now at least for mun missions and such. I'll see how I do with rendezous without it.
  18. Hey guys, Got to bug to jump into this again. I know I'm several versions behind and out of the loop a bit. I never got past MUN or Minmus so I don't need crazy mods, I enjoyed launching and building space stations. But quality of life stuff still needed? Mech Jeb? Docking port indicator? my big thing is visuals and city lights in the dark parts of Kerbin at night, I had a mod years ago that did this but lost track of how I got it to work. Is EVA and Scatter still a thing? Anything new you recommend checking out? I'm starting from scratch on my games. I know this is a search thing, but I'm just soo far behind and need a quick catchup Thanks!
  19. yup, I wanted it to be as modular and up-gradable as possible if the docking ports didn't work out for what ever reason. But using the above straddle method it has been working great. same way I got the return pods up to orbit. This morning I got my first "Space bus" up to the station, will really help with the 23 kerbols that want to go see Minmus and the Mun! I didn't have all the science tech onboard the shuttle yet, so I guess a version 2.0 will need launched at some point, But for now I just need to drag a 6 kerbol lander with the bus to each moon and get all these tourists done and off my station! TO DO list: Science Lab Module, Upgrade HAB Module(I only have 8 beds and 29 Kerbols onboard the station, even rotating three shifts of sleeping thats leaving five Kerbols sleeping on the floor ) , Upgrade Fuel/tug Module, build MUN/Minmus tourist lander for five bodies plus a pilot Going well so Far!
  20. Ok, I'm going with glitch. I got the thing into orbit straight up and at 80,000km I dumped the side burners and fired the main and it started spinning even in vac, not an aero thing. EDIT: GOT IT, the cupola is mounted upside down, all my controls were backwards! needed to change the control point :facepalm:
