  1. Reinstalling didn't do anything, it has to be a mod edit: after three frustrating hours, I finally nailed it down. it was either outer planets mod or kopernicus
  2. Title says it. I only have space on my screen when I am at the KSC. Loading saves does nothing. New game does nothing. If I go to a scenario, I can see the game for a split second before everything goes black. I tried a tutorial for ship building, and I was able to go into the VAB, however the categories were hidden and I couldn't switch. http://s17.postimg.org/i8phcjlkf/2015_07_15_00001.jpg
  3. I'm having crashes to desktop with no output logs, running 118 mods (holy !@$@ when did I get that many?), running a 64 bit exe - after 1.0.x, since ATM isn't as critical to run anymore, I've already reduced my texture resolution. Occasionally I'll see access violations when I forget to reset to read-only, and I know my RAM usage keeps creeping up until it crashes, so I guess my question is, is there any way to force KSP to use the pagefile, or am I just completely misunderstanding how page files work? I have my pagefile set to 8 gigs, yet KSP crashes when the physical memory is capped out, so it isn't taking advantage of the pagefile
  4. Can I drop these on the KSC a la rods from god? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinetic_bombardment
  5. I'm having an error when I attempt to zoom in using the wide field/asteroid processor level two, where I just have a black screen when I open the GUI and try to DO SCIENCE!
  6. This has been my most successful lander thus far. Still not sure why I used docking ports, guess I figured it could be dropped from higher up with parachutes but totally forgot. I'm happy with it The top image is the successful lander - the bottom is my Rover Mk. 1 - - - Updated - - -
  7. I figured out why my ships were flinging apart at least. When KJR would stabilize the physics load, things got wonky. Removed it and it's working well.
  8. Ok. I'll try that. And yeah, I may have gone a bit crazy when I found ckan. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/100067-The-Comprehensive-Kerbal-Archive-Network-%28CKAN%29-Package-Manager-v1-6-0-9-Feb-2015
  9. Right - I'm already doing every single one of those steps. I'm asking if there's something like a tool I used to have for world of tanks that I could alt tab to and it would actively clear the memory that had been cached but was no longer in use
  10. Is there any way to actively reduce the memory being used while in the game? For instance, over the course of testing a craft from the VAB my client eventually crashes even though I have not accessed any other craft. is there any sort of active 'memory cleaner'?
  11. Like the title says, my vessel is sitting still on the launch pad, yet it reports that it is moving at 175m/s. I'm using hyperedit to mess around and launch a large station built with B9 parts, but when I set the orbit, the entire ship flings apart, and I think it could be due in part to the reported velocity.
  12. I constantly crash to desktop with write crashes. I'm already using ATM and running in OpenGL. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ani5gg18yvvixs0/AAA6fuI0MpClpwP6JuD8AXKEa?dl=0
  13. I've tried searching with no avail, but how do I use the KMW trailer? I'm also attempting to test the KMW rover, however it clips into the ground and I cannot drive it.
  14. I second this. I came here to ask the very same thing.
  15. So I solved my skybox issue, one of the mods I was running was causing it. However, I'm suffering from an extremely poor framerate now, and I still cannot access my in-game settings.
  16. I forgot to also mention that if I try and go to my settings from the menu, I lock on a black screen
  17. I'm running on opengl now, and it's solved my out-of-memory crashes, however I'm having weird skybox issues. My sky is blindingly white, and if I pan the camera it shifts to red. Mun does the same thing on the title screen. Pure white with flashes of red.
