  1. Not sure if this has been mentioned or anything before, but I think a cool addition would be the option to have the SILTS pod available for the vertical stabilizer in order to make Columbia more realistic looking. Another small little detail would be having a texture available for the vertical stabilizer where there are more of the black tiles, again to make Columbia more realistic. You can see both in this picture: These two things are pretty nit-picky but I think they'd be a very cool thing to implement. But its just a suggestion
  2. Finally got to test out the new update. Also picked up some of the files throughout the last couple of pages (not sure if I was suppose to) and finally I was able to get the Shuttle into a stable and reasonable orbit without much trouble. It handled a lot better than before, not oscillating out of control or anything during ascent. Re-entry was also phenomenal with a smooth decent that went without issue. The aerodynamics are loads better than I remember them being on the .90 release and some of the first 1.0 adaptations. The only issue I found was that there were no RCS jets that came out of the nose section (I checked and made sure that those jets were activated and I had monopropellant). I used the one piece model if that helps. Other than that small issue, amazing work everyone.
  3. Been following this since day 1. I love seeing how far its come since then. Good job Mike and everyone else who's worked on it!
  4. Jovzin 's model is an amazing one. Surely there is a way to combine the changes that Mike has made with that model. The current CSS model is in dire need of an update and it would be a real big shame if Jovzin's model was scrapped.
  5. Any idea when the Sr-71 cockpit piece will be released? Really looking forward to that one. The WIP pictures look amazing
  6. I agree with sp1989. Having a proper download would make downloading the most recent Shuttle a lot easier and it would make sure everyone has the correct and working parts.
  7. I think that's a pretty cool idea to implement. It adds a bit of difficulty and adds to the realism of the Shuttle which what we all want isn't it?
  8. The Shuttle's landing gear could only be lowered once. If you lowered them there is no chance retracting them. I'm pretty sure they were manual so there wouldn't be any glitches and therefore deployments during re-entry or something.
  9. I agree with StoryMusgrave. The previews of your model looks amazing. The new one looks way better than the old one.
  10. Hm ok. Thanks a whole lot:D
  11. NearFutureSolar looks like it has a good one. Do you know if KSO and KOSMOS work with 1.0.2? KSO doesn't seem to have a version for anything beyond .90 and KOSMOS looks like it has nothing beyond .25
  12. Hey KSP Community, While building my space station that I modeled mainly after the ISS, I ran into the problem of not having or finding any solar panels big enough to attach to the end of the station. (Stock ones and the ones in the US Soviet solar panel pack aren't near anything to this scale)Can anyone make solar panels like the one above (orange ones) or refer me to a place to find them? Much appreciated. (Sorry about the large image)
  13. Thanks for the welcome. I tried launching the Shuttle even without clamps and the problem still occurred, as if I still had clamps on my vessel. Do you think the problem could be something else? I really want to be able to use the Shuttle its one of my favorite mods for KSP.
  14. Not sure why this happens but my shuttle seems to lose control during ascent. The ascent goes normally until about 8000 meters. Around that time, the highly annoying and sometimes destructive bug occurs where the launch clamps you used (stock or FASA) are spawned and released behind you. When this occurs with the Shuttle, the camera seems to detach itself from the Shuttle and the Shuttle begins to roll and yaw out of control slowly. The problem gets progressively worse each time the launch clamps are spawn, to the point where the Shuttle spins itself out of control and with no possibility for recovery. I'm not sure why this happens and if this happens to anyone else. I use the stock aerodynamics. Sorry if I couldn't explain what is happening very well.
