heres the question. ablators are heat shields, yeah i know that. but what is it made of?some kind of reinforced carbon-carbon heat tiles? (reinforced carbon-carbon is actually the heat shields for the Space Shuttle(thats all i know about heat shields)) Thanks in advance

oh so thats how. the craft exploded anyway. one went on EVA.

i played with my planes today,and made a shuttle the plane was fine, i did some stunts near the R&D, then my wing hit the tower, tried to land, exploded. so, SHUTTLE! it was a fine day at the KSC when the kerbals realized there was a flaming debris rushing down the clouds and at that moment they realized it was the shuttle.(all 7 crew sacraficed themselves to make a good firework show.) May they rest in kerbal peace.

oh ok. so how do i not overheat the craft?

do the station first. if you wanna spacecraft that can go interplanetary,ya need to refuel. choose Duna or Ike or Eve (WARNING: landing on Eve is a one way trip. gravity there make it impossible to leave) i prefer to go to gilly and Eve.do Low and High orbit science stuff to get more science.(dont transmit it(if you want less science in your bucket)) oh yeah gilly. Low n' High orbit science and land.(use RCS cause the gravity is so low there) Fun fact about gilly. Its a captured gigantic asteroid Youre welcome

SO,I was doing some junk at duna, using my space craft that has a nuke engine. then after I had circularized the orbit on Duna, i turn the fuel and materials stuff up(the fuel can thingy) I noticed that the ablator gauge went down like what. so, because of that, i went to ike instead. same thing happened there ,then i landed, planted a flag, mess with the Kerbals, and do other stuff. heres the problem: wai is the ablator gauge going down and i have discovered some explosions on the Batt Man batteries(Z-400) the Nerv engine, and the decoupler(under the heat shield) is overheating sorry for shortened words.(its 11:16PM at my time) and yes. im sleepy Thanks in advance

needs more R.A.P.I.E.R engines, instead of the shock cone intakes, use ramp air intakes needs more lift,add the Big-S spaceplane elevon thingy.(works for me) the Com and Col (for me) needs to be little bit inline Although im new here, im 13, i played this game since January,i have built SSTO's for days now! (7 exploded) rest in kerbal peace.

yeah, thats what im doing right now. tring to dock i have a space station in orbit (that ran out of gas) and there is a refueler inbound about to dock right now it is cruising away from the station (at about 0.1m/s) so can a 2.5m docking port dock with a different sized docking port? currently tring to match speed with the station.

dude you need a nuke engine if you're goin back 2 kerbin if tit is a one way trip with no science on, just put 2 drouge chutes, 1 parachute, a command pod, and a heat shield. (crew must be included)
