  1. The exact same thing happened to me. Was hurtling along the ground in a plane, out of control, then went EVA as a last-ditch attempt to save Bill from a fiery death. He hit the ground, ragdolled for a while then bam, Kerbin disappears. Restarting KSP seemed to fix the bug, but the damage was done. Bill was missing in action and the debris of his plane was on an escape trajectory. Weird.
  2. I'm a KSP newbie so this probably seems stupid, but I use them for turning simple planes into low-tech VTOLs. They're great for daisy-chaining surface surveillance missions in the early career game, where conventional take-offs on the local terrain would be hazardous. The drag is a real issue though; they won't fly faster than about 240 m/s (they're super fuel inefficient) but seriously, Jeb will never die in one of those things.
  3. Every time I play KSP for an extended period of time I tell myself I'm burning prograde into a trajectory of no life... Let's just hope I have enough monopropellent to turn retrograde before it becomes an escape trajectory from reality. Oh god what am I saying.
