AFF_W50. Experimental spaceplane
Dr Farnsworth replied to AFF's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Excellent looking design! Farnsworth Rocket Surgery may have to steal...er...copy...um...borrow, some of the design ideas. -
Nice video! There should be more positive comments for your video, but alas, it takes effort to type. Gravity was not kind to your landing stage...

Will you still use Linux after KSP 1.1?
Dr Farnsworth replied to peachoftree's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I am becoming worried about the new windows 10, so I may actually be switching over to Linux in the near future. Eventually Bill Gates will force everyone to migrate to the new program. I don't think I want to comply. -
Good news everyone! Farnsworth Rocket Surgery can fully fulfill your crew rescue and recovery needs. First we must get off of Kerbin and maybe not die when returning. The Farnsworth Meerkat is perfect for maybe not dying. Orbital rescue or surface rescue? We have a variety of craft for you to pick from. The Farnsworth Dragonfly is a good all around 4 kerbal lander. If your looking for more wind in your hair and crew survival is optional, try the Farnsworth Bumblebee. Warranty is void if someone dies using Farnsworth vehicles.

Leaked raw camera footage from the Farnsworth Rocket Surgery Research and Design division. Video shows what appears to be a new prototype mining expedition rover with orbital drop pod. Specific mission parameters are unknown at this time.

THE TEST: Are you good enough?
Dr Farnsworth replied to RuBisCO's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
I am not sure I understand the challenge. If what I have listed below is correct, please let me know. I need to build a single rocket that can take off from Kerbin, fly to and land on the Mun, and then return said rocket (probably just the capsule now) to the surface of Kerbin? No mods allowed that would affect part ability. No mods that would provide engineering assistance during the initial rocket build. I need to perform this feat in one shot with no saves. -
Farnsworth 'Chipmunk' Space-Plane Adventure
Dr Farnsworth replied to Dr Farnsworth's topic in KSP Fan Works
I have no idea how it actually flies with the tiny wings that it has, but somehow it does! Thank you for watching the video, I hope you enjoyed it. -
SSTOs! Post your pictures here~
Dr Farnsworth replied to KissSh0t's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Good news everyone! Chipmunks can fly. Well, not really, but the Farnsworth Chipmunk SSTO certainly can. The Farnsworth film crew made a video of the Chipmunk for your enjoyment. ***Shameless plug*** -
Farnsworth 'Chipmunk' Space-Plane Adventure
Dr Farnsworth replied to Dr Farnsworth's topic in KSP Fan Works
I am not sure what the exact DV is for the Chipmunk. It has no problem with 100 kilometer orbits around Kerbin and reentry without re-fueling (with a competent pilot). The Chipmunk could 'probably' go as high as 300 kilometers and return without refueling but I have not tried it. Test it and let me know. It's downloadable through my KerbalX sig. Thank's for watching my video! -
Farnsworth 'Chipmunk' Space-Plane Adventure
Dr Farnsworth replied to Dr Farnsworth's topic in KSP Fan Works
Thank you Kuzzter! I enjoyed making it and will probably make some more. -
I wanted to shamelessly showcase the Farnsworth Chipmunk space-plane, and so I did... It's a long video, but I hope you like it.

Good news everyone! Have you ever wanted to know what it's like to pilot a space-plane? Take off from a runway, dock at a orbiting station, and then return to the runway you took off from? Well! Luckily for you, the Farnsworth Rocket Surgery's video team has made a film showcasing the Chipmunk single stage to orbit space-plane! The Chipmunk is capable of reaching a 100 Kilometer orbit and returning to the space center without refueling. Pick one up today!

Good news everyone! The Farnsworth Meerkat SSTO is ready for delivery. 100km orbits are easy! Flies like a fighter jet! Complementary aft shielded docking port for station attaching-ness. flight characteristics are in the album. I think you will love it, but if you don't, then shut up. Downloadable through my KerbalX sig. -
Well I must say that is one mighty fine lookin ship you have there Rune ol chap. It's actually harder than one would think to build a vertical launch ssto without any winglets. They love to flip on you as the fuel burns away and the com changes, or at least take a one turn 'victory lap'. But you somehow managed to do it, and it doesn't look like hammered crap in a bag. I may have to copy it and then claim I designed it first...

Good news everyone! Farnsworth Rocket Surgery and Rubber Toast Deliver is proud to present to you the Chipmunk space plane! Many people were starting to assume that all we could build were strange looking landing craft. Well you were wrong! The fine folks at Farnsworth Rocket Surgery can also build strange looking space planes! Meet the Chipmunk. The chipmunk is perfect for single crew transfer on an orbiting station. Drone core included so you can send it out pilot-less (more room for toast). 100 kilometer orbits are no problem. Yes...that is a docking port shoved in it's rear. How else are you going to dock with your station (proctologist approved). PLENTY of fuel left. Flight characteristics are in the album. Downloadable from my KerbalX sig. Come and get it while it's hot! KSP 0.90 Complete Printable Science Checklist [Updated 06 Mar 2015]
Dr Farnsworth replied to JAFO's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I have to be organized in real life. I prefer to explode things until they work when playing here. This looks too much like homework assignments to me! But to each his own, if you enjoy organization. -
Base-In-A-Box. Expandable modular surface base!
Dr Farnsworth replied to Rune's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Hydroponic tomatoes taste funny. Hydroponic beef jerky is wonderful.
