Landing on the moon in RSS/RO with a Saturn V. It's hard enough to do a transfer to something that's nowhere near your current inclination, but on top of that I had to worry about hydrogen boil off.

As everyone else is saying, KSP's monopropellant is probably decays once it's run over a catalyst. The only alternative that I'm aware of is a compressed gas thruster and hose things have TERRIBLE specific impulse.

I caught on pretty quickly when I started playing. I'd say the game isn't too complicated for kids >12. (Although that was back in .19. Since then the parts list has nearly doubled.)
