  1. Linux support. KSP ran far better on Linux than Windows for a very long time, and I hope we're not forgotten in KSP2.
  2. For me too. I'd need a Linux version and hope they don't ditch us.
  3. It's interesting you say that. I am on a potato PC: 2007 quad core Intel CPU and a 2011 560Ti with 8GB RAM. In 1.0.5 and earlier I had a lot of mods, say 100-120 and the game ran surprisingly well. It was only when part count started rising or I tried building space stations that things got rough. I use Linux so had 64bit for ages. I assumed that with the upgrade to Unity 5, improved and more efficient GUI and better multithreading I would see better performance but even at just 80 mods the game is unplayable. The space centre itself lags badly and loading into the VAB lets me go make a coffee and often just crashes. Quite disappointing as I am now far more restricted in playing the game. I think I'll have to downgrade to 1.0.5 and stay with that till the latest build improves or I upgrade my PC, hopefully later this year.
  4. Hi Dr Jet. I love your parts pack. Such a mix of bits but so much useful stuff that I didn't even realise I was missing from stock till I used them. I have a question about the LTS-2 Bun and Mushroom as something seems odd. The parts concept looks fantastic so I've put them together in a lander for use on the Mun. However, their fuel capacity seems extraordinarily small for the model size and considering that they are just the LTS Mk1 tanks arranged in a predefined setup. One LTS Mk1 Core Tank shows capacity of 99 liquid fuel and 121 Oxidiser but the LTS Mk2 Bun, which appear to be 8 slightly larger LTS Mk1 Core Tanks in a frame only has Liquid Fuel 13.50 and Oxidiser 16.50. The Mushroom has the same capacity. Apologies if this has been asked before. I did try looking through the thread but didn't see anything. I can only assume something is broken but not sure if it is just me. I'd appreciate some advice please as I'd love to use these!
  5. 145 mods at the moment. 64 bit Linux on an old Core 2 Quad 6600 with an Nvidia 560ti. It can chug sometimes but it is surprisingly stable.
  6. If you're thinking of moving to Linux, I can recommend it. I ditched Windows 7 entirely a few years back and use Arch. Have a lot of native games now thanks to Steam, GOG and other sites, and those that need Windows mostly run fine under WINE. KSP 64bit in Linux is great too. I just love Arch as I get to choose every package installed and keep it trim and lightweight for better KSP performance. Essential for me as I use an old Core 2 Quad 6600 and Nvidia 560ti with 8GB RAM and have 145 mods installed.
  7. I don't use Macs but I believe OS X is a fork from Unix rather than Linux and has more in common with BSD. There's still a lot in common with Linux though and I have no idea what the issue is with 64bit on OS X. I use 64bit on Linux and it is excellent.
