To confirm what Geher said, yes, this is a seat that Jeb was sitting on. I tried to EVA him and he flew up out of the water. Thanks Neistridlar! I'll post my results soon. -

The quote says it's from Kokanee, and it says that the jet engines' thrust power have been changed. This is a quote from the wiki's changelog: Jet thrusts rebalanced for new drag (thrusts lowered, BJE curves altered). Jet Isp halved due to increased fuel quantity and lower drag. So I'm going to keep the unverified asterisk there, until you update to 1.05. I'm trying to keep this fair, which means I need to be careful. -

I'll put it up with an asterisk for unverified, but can you do it again in 1.05 with the new re-textured Wheesley jet? The game went through certain aerodynamic changes and the Wheesley's stats were tweaked slightly, so the plane might not produce the same results as it would have post-update. Can you also verify the part count on that thing? -

Not sure what the plane looks like, so I can't add it to the roster yet. (I can't see the photos, they're the default image error icon. Try adding .png to the end, or whatever they are. I tried to make a shuttle out of a Vector engine and a Mammoth engine, though the thrust was too much and the thing exploded. The challenge here is being able to get a craft that goes quickly underwater. I don't care if it's downloaded or not. That brings me to my point. Since I don't have the expertise to do a plane-drop, I'll ask for the second-quickest craft, which is Neistridlar's submersible. If I could have the download, that would be cool. I want to discover the depths of Kerbin's oceans. Might find some rare bugs down there too. -

I tried to eyeball the part count and I got a tie, though I'm not sure if it's completely accurate, so I just wanted to check. -

Got a tiny jet glider I made to hit the ocean floor, wasn't even intended for sea travel. I think I might have found the crack in the floor of the ocean that PDS134 found, noticed the ground was black instead of solid blue. Crack in the ocean: There's the oceanic crack I believe, the black thing there. I didn't investigate though, sadly, thought it was a lighting glitch. Here's my depth record: And yes, that is on the ocean floor. Silly Jebadiah, your face would be crushed by the immense pressure. EDIT:​ You can also see the huge crack in this photo, though I didn't see that until I posted this. -
I had an idea for racing small planes in Kerbin. The race is not plane versus plane; however; it is a speed race; who can get the fastest speed? Rules: Must show a screenshot of the top speed. (Put these images in a spoiler tab if you can) Must use either one J-33 Wheesley jet engine or two J-20 Juno jet engines (you can use one J-20 Juno jet engine if you want) This is version 1.05+. Due to aerodynamics changes, any planes tested before this will produce different results. Don't use mods that specifically alter game mechanics or fly the game for you. Informational mods are fine (i.e. Kerbal Engineer). Don't clip tanks, engines, intakes, wings, command pods, or other objects into your craft. Altitude limit is 5,000 meters to prevent really high altitude diving; inclination on the Navball can't exceed -50 degrees down. Don't edit the files to make the engines more powerful - don't use the cheat panel either (basically no cheating). May the speediest craft win! Got my flying wing up to 1036 m/s in atmosphere, though it was for a challenge, so I could prob get its speed higher. I got it to 9036m at 1172 m/s. Then it exploded. -

Oh ho, you really asked the wrong person for this! I really doubt anyone else will be able to get any faster than this; if they can I'm sure I can push it to at least 1500 m/s. Very nearly passed the altitude limit. -

As a fellow Californian, I say we cut off all the water to the Beverly Hills region and anyone who's using more than twice the limit. If they have THAT big of a lawn/pool, they can pay having to shower in bottled water. Kerbal style. -
