  1. Hey, don't know if i can ask this here, but i have done some simple rocket launch scripts. But now in my vacations i want to go a bit further, with classes and maybe a system which is not only responsible for the active_vessel. Can someone maybe give me some hints, regarding class structure and ideas about an system(you can pm me or something like that) Really like kRPC Regards Moritz
  2. would it be possible to compile a server version which runs on linux ?
  3. Hey, at the moment i use kOs for my automatisation. I found randomly that mod, and i like the idea of coding in a known language with the ability of writing classes and so on. One thing i am a bit confused at, is the possibilty to have some default file. So is it possible to say this rocket default run a specific script ? And is there some physical storage on the rocket? Thanks for help Regards Moritz
  4. are you sure, i'm running on an SSD and have to wait minutes not only a few seconds ... Running KSP on different Setups (Mac,Linux,Windows) all with RO, since 1.2 is out playing without RO
  5. hey dagger, is there a centralized way of changing the postbuild event paths ?
  6. @EBOSHI thanks for the information @Dagger I'm study IT and have basic knowledge of c#, maybe i can help you a little bit here and there
  7. Can someone tell me if it is possible to play the 1.2 game version with the 1.1.3 version of DMP ?
  8. Hey guys, don't get me wrong, this is maybe a very silly and basic question but even after 1,5 year ksp i don't quite get the sense of the science lab. What i understand so far is that i can add all my experiments on my spacecraft to the science lab, which then converts the experiments to data points. Then the science lab takes energy and the knowledge of scientist to convert these data points into science points which i then can transmit back to earth. But why should i do this instead of directly transmit the science from the experiment or better take it back to earth with my kerbal ? Has the science lab something like an science multiplier, which increases the amount of science i can get from one experiment ? Would be very appreciated if someone can bring light in my very dark knowledge of science labs Regards Moritz
  9. Hey guys, i've an very special question, i'm playing with kOs at the moment and found an Mod which allows only communication when it's normally possible. What i am looking for is something like building an satelite network over kerbin so that i can always stay in connection, is that possible somehow ? Or are there other things i can make sattelites more useful ? Regards Moritz
  10. some christmas report from me I now got the Whiplash Engine and made my tour to orbit with an combination of two Whiplash and 1 Rocket engine (the small 45 one) Now tinkering around with different combinations of Whiplash and Rocket engines to build a small crew transport ship to my space station @Snark i don't play career i only play science, so it doesn't matter if it is more efficient or not, but i don't like rockets that much i'm more the plane type, so i'll improve my spaceplane building skills
  11. Thank you for that much information. You helped me a lot, i now try to get Whiplash and than will share my result.
  12. Thanks for your info cantab, thats what i thought about too, have now unlocked the Panther Afterburner and with two of these and two LV-909 i reached about 70km, whats nice, next step would be to reach orbit. Would it be better to get up slowly or to gain speed and then get up rapidly what i done was to aim for 30° with afterburner and as soon as the afterburner loose thrust i fire up the rocket engines, and when the air is cut i closed the intakes. Cheers Moritz
  13. ohhh sorry if it was miss understanding, with Rockets i have no problems, wanted to build a Space Plane (which i erroneously called ssto, sorry for that :dump:) So i have the two basic jet engines (can unlock the afterburner engine if needed) and all rocket engines up to mainsnail.
  14. Hey guys, i'm new at the forum, so i hope im at the right section. Im playing kerbal since Version 1 and stopped playing in late summer because of university. Now i started playing again, and my goal is to get an SSTO in Orbit. I'm at the moment at a very low tech level (Science Mode). I only got the first to engines, but want to build the SSTO now. It should be only a small thing to make a kind of experience in that area. What my idea was is to get with the engines at an altitude about ~25km over Kerbin and than fire a LV 909 to get into space. Thats the theory, but in praxis i never reach 10km with the normal engines because they get very weak as soon as i lift off. I already added some more air intake to probably solve the problem, but that wasn't a real solution. Can you guys give me maybe some advice how to get into orbit. I guess it should be possible with that tech available, but if it's not than i have to make some mun missions bevor i can build the ssto. Cheers Moritz
