  1. I'm using the latest release of Bon Voyage with RP-1, Kerbalism, etc. and the BV controllers don't seem to recognize the power generated by the RTGs. I can see that the power generation is well beyond what is needed, but BV shows power generation as 0, so I can't utilize the autopilot at all. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?
  2. I need help with the ALSEP parts. I'm doing a RO lunar landing and found earlier in this thread that the ALSEP parts should be put in the alsep box, but I can't find that part for the LM anywhere. Am I missing something? I’m playing on a 1.3.1. installation with Realism Overhaul, RP-1, fasa, kas, principia.
  3. Is it possible to somehow reuse/repair parts in RO? I have testflight installed and since the engines can fail before liftoff, it seems silly and unrealistic that I have to rebuild the entire vehicle instead of cancelling the launch and just replacing the engine. Or am I missing something? I am running ksp 1.3.1 and the corresponding mod versions.
  4. Here are a few screenshots of my non-magnificent creation. I actually managed to get the thing off the runway once, but even then the landing gears began falling through the runway before takeoff.
  5. I'm having a terrible time designing planes in KSP with realism overhaul / FAR etc installed. Even though I try to follow the plane design instructions posted here on the forums to the tee, I can't seem to get my planes off the runway. Every time I try to take off, my plane's landing gears collide with the runway and break when I reach enough speed, even though it seems that the plane doesn't even lift off. Any tweaks with the design don't seem to fix this issue, what could I be doing wrong? I can post some pictures of the design later, but has anyone had the same problem and how did you go about fixing it? Or are there any good tips regarding general plane design in RO/FAR etc.
  6. Well, I have found the culprit. I had the Snacks life support mod installed before the performance issues, and the issues went away after reinstalling the mod. So it seems that my save, which was played with Snacks until then, did not play well at all after suddenly removing the mod.
  7. KSP ver. 1.0.5.1028 32-bit Windows 10 64-bit Issue: Up until a few days ago, KSP seemed to be running fine on my laptop. Now when I access my flights in my career save, my framerate slows down into 10 fps territory, even on the map screen. I tried doing a clean install, but it didn't help at all. Mods I've installed are: Kerbal Engineer Chatterer Precise node Waypoint Manager Any ideas? It's in no way a high performance pc, but did run the game ok until the last few days. I have a gaming pc on which the game runs great, but I like playing the game on the laptop. :/ Can the amount of ongoing flights result in these kinds of problems? I have a few empty crafts orbiting Kerbin and its moons that I could bring down, but haven't yet got to them.
  8. Yep, that's correct. When I first posted I thought that it showed the latitude there, which was kind of dumb thinking from my part. I did realize that it showed the difference between the expected orbit and my satellite's orbit when I did it according to Snark's advice.
  9. Thanks, I got it now. I just got confused by the terminology before. I actually managed to get the satellite in the right orbit by doing an incredibly wasteful plane change from an equatorial plane, but did it in the wrong direction, hence my nodes were flipped.
  10. Wow, thanks for the detailed explanation! I don't completely get the concept but got it done quite easily with your advice. Is there an easy explanation how to perform the plane change?
  11. So I am trying to fulfill a contract where I need to put a satellite in a polar orbit of Kerbin. Most comments about these contracts seem to suggest that I just need to make the orbit the same as the example, but even after doing that and getting the apoapsis and periapsis almost exactly at the expected values, my LAN node is 180 degrees, while the contract states it should be 277 deg. What can I do to fix this? A close look at the orbits at the periapsis is attached. http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/356148425669801858/54964057647762F2E2F96F37D0D049052A5A3010/
