Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus, and his name is Jandcando! Thank you so much for the update. Downloaded it today, ran a few tests and everything is working just fine. Very much appreciate the time and effort this took on your part. MM

While browsing CKAN this morning, I noticed that there are 791 mods listed as incompatible with version 1.13. I realize some of these still work with 1.13, like my personal favorite, Impossible Innovations, but there are many mods that, for lack of a better term, have been abandoned. What are your favorite mods that you wish would come back from the dead? MM

Landing on dark side of planet?
Mike Mars replied to W. Kerman's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Use MechJeb, Surface Info option. It tells you actual altitude versus altitude above sea level. -
Landing gear can't wait for 1.2, needs bandaid.
Mike Mars replied to cephalo's topic in KSP1 Discussion
The landing gear appears fine. But I think your tail fin is too small. I have found that this causes stability issues during takeoff run. MM -
I am totally immoral. What happens on the Mun, stays on the Mun. MM

Except for golf, it is my most enjoyable way to pass time. I do watch space related programs and documentaries, and read science related articles both for education and inspiration. MM

I was hoping you would leave them as they are, but just update to v1.1.2. Love the power!

Jandcando, I understand how you feel. Sometimes it is time to move on. May I make a suggestion. How about a simplified mod. To me, the engines are the most important part of this mod. I can live without the other stuff. Would it be possible to just update the engines? If not, I understand and wish you the best. Thank you again for your past efforts. MM

When I first downloaded Hyperedit, I was playing around with it, and inadvertently moved Duna into a very near Kerbin orbit. Ooops. Good thing I use F5 a lot. MM

I wonder if cheating in KSP will spill over into my real life. Am I more likely to cheat on my GF because I use MJ or Hyperedit? MM

I wonder what the average age of a KSP player is? MM

Hello everyone. My name is Mike Mars and I am a cheater! I use MJ shamelessly. I use Hyperedit for testing. In my darkest moments, I will edit craft files. I am so ashamed of myself. MM

I paid $17.99 for this game two year ago. I have enjoyed 1,050 hours of game play. That works out to less than $.02 per hour. For that kind of value, I will take the occasional inconvenience caused by upgrades. MM

I am not a computer guy, but here's my story for what it's worth. I had the same problems as you with wheels on my space planes. I also had frequent system crashes. I did a clean install of KSP. and slowly added only mods that have been upgraded and are stable. Result, no more issues with wheels and game is very stable. Haven't had a crash in almost two weeks. I think many of the issues are being caused by conflicting mods. Just my humble opinion. MM

KSP getting boring? I want to get back into it.
Mike Mars replied to ZedSpace's topic in KSP1 Discussion
When I got bored after my first year, I started experimenting with planes just as a lark. That led to SSTO's which has opened up a whole new world of game play for me. MM -

Large Rover Wheels
Mike Mars replied to CrashTestDanny's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I've got a rover tooling around on the Mun. Wheels are working fine. I can't go as fast as I did pre 1.1, or climb slopes as steep, but perhaps the realism factor has increased and we just have to adjust. MM -
Some rovers stuck on ground
Mike Mars replied to Jaeleth's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Wheels on that particular rover may be blocked because they are clipped. I had the same problem when I first upgraded. Once I unclipped wheels, they work fine. MM -
Anybody else having issues with MJ? Seems to be hit or miss on rendezvous. Planetary transfers not working either.
-
My experience as well. Did a fresh install and have added mods slowly. I only crash a couple of times a week now.
-
I've been running on 1.1 for a couple of weeks now and it seems fairly stable. For the first week I ran stock and didn't have a single crash. The second week I added 18 mods which have all upgraded to 1.1 and I now crash about once per day. Curiously, I always crash in the VAB right after loading a craft and trying to make an alteration. When I reload, I run stable for hours. MM

Emesis76, When I first upgraded, my game kept crashing as well. Sometimes it wouldn't even load. I did a fresh install and reloaded only mods that have upgraded to 1.1. Haven't had a problem since. I feel your pain. MM
-
GoSlash, I am experiencing the same problems with wheels since upgrading to 1.1 that many others have encountered. Thank you for your efforts in trying to develop a fix. MM

There's Something Not Quite Right...
Mike Mars replied to Kerbin vonKerbal's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Moments like that one just crack me up. Love KSP! MM
