  1. Longer chapters, less cliffhangers. I'm cool with it. Just keep doing this amazing thing you do. (pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls don't kill Emiko or Werner. I can live with a near death experience but killing off one of those characters is too much for me.)
  2. I had an incredibly similar experience on my muna 27, my first mun landing ever in the most recent demo version, the lengths I went to were ridiculous, the only engines are the reliant, the flea, and the hammer, with only the small 1.25 meter LFO tanks and non-retractable solar panels. I didn't know about thrusting forward with RCS, so I did everything in space using a reliant so my launch vehicle was so heavy that it would probably make the top 100 most kerbal spacecraft ever. And to top it all off the only demo probe core is a stripped down stayputnik so I did the entire thing with no SAS. If your wondering why muna 27 was the first landing and not muna one, it was because the demo does not allow quick saving or reverting. So any way, muna 27 was my first mun landing ever. But in its extended mission, Muna 27 ReTurn, which was to test if engines could be used as heat shields, (I had yet to send a kerbal to space) it ran out of fule with a apo that still intersected the muns orbit and a peri of 65 thousand. I was able to preserve one solar panel for the first few passes, then I lost it with 5 orbits to go. So the only thing left to do disable the reaction wheels and hope my battery's would hold out. (I did not know how to arm a chute) in the final grueling reentrey, I lost all but two of my 8 batterys. On the last 0.03 electric charge, I deployed my chutes with risky status and bolth deployed successfully. The now dead probe core was recovered successfully and all the KSC staff regoiced, except for the range safety officer, who went insane from the huge pieces of debris that were falling All around the KSC from the launch.
  3. Ok, so if carlenna and the zombie squad are salvaging ships, then put homing devices on all craft they may salvage. (Adjusts Sherlock Holmes cap)
  4. Narwalz is right, the idea is that kerbin and earth are two different planets and kerbin is the kerbals home world (Or is it?) "us" meaning humans. (From my earlier post)
  5. I get That its a joke but if you put that aside it does make a very good story.
  6. Has anyone agknowledged that kerbals fit perfectly into all of our Alien conspiracy theories? Little green men? Crashed spacecraft? The classic image of a small body and a huge head? Huge, bulging eyes? It's like squad is begging for someone like just Jim to write this story. Nooooooo! If Emiko is blown up, that means the saga is over and I'll start to get bored again! (Also that would be a really bad ending for such a great story. It just wouldn't do this wonderful saga justice.)
  7. Okay so I've tried starting a few challenges in the past, and none of them seem to catch on. But I'm going to try one more time. This will test bolth your engineering and your piloting. As you have probably already guessed, the challenge is to land a stock seaplane on the water at the fastest speed possible with no parts destroyed or falling off. No cheats, I need screenshots or it didn't happen, and some way to prove that no parts were lost. It has to be 100 percent stock, no exceptions. The speed the plane was going at the moment your plane touched the water is your score. Let me know if I missed anything.
  8. I live out side of a tiny town in northern Oregon. I had been fantasizing about space since I was 5 years old. When I got back from a two year experience in Europe, I found that the social structure at school had not only formed, but now ruled with a iron grip. I was literally the only nerd in my school, let alone space nerd. For two whole years I lived as a social outcast, I had no friends and I became depressed and silent. I found small consolation in books and legend of Zelda games. Then. On a normal school day, I came home and plopped down in front of the computer and stumbled across a website named kerbal space program... as I explored the website more, my eyes got wider and wider. When I was done with the last word on the whole website. I asked myself how I could not have noticed it earlier. A few days later when my parents said they would let me buy the game, I knew the line had stopped going down on the depression graph. The scale models of imaginary missions, the endless scetches in my spare composition book, the huge brainstormed stations, one by one they all came to life. And then it only got even better. One day when I tiped in KSP into the search bar and I was about to hit enter when I saw in the suggestions list "forums" intrigued, I pushed a button and the awesomeness of the game instantly doubled. When I discovered forgotten space program and the saga of Emiko station the awesomeness tripled. All of a sudden I went from a regected nerd living in the middle of nowhere to part of a community. I had friends. I had people like me. I had people to look up to and admire, and I had equals that I could have a good, scientific conversation with. This game is one of the most amazing things that has ever happened to me. I can't say thank you enough to the wonderful devs of this game and to every person on this forum.
  9. Feel like we need a contract mode for the people that have done everything in the sandbox and are out of ideas. No funds, rep or science, just missions that the game generates
  10. I think the idea is to not lose Emiko station, but to save it. The saga is far from over, remember?
  11. Cover Emiko station with armor. Any craft attempting to use it as a portal will be destroyed by part splicing
  12. After a very long train of thought (don't ask) you have inspired me to build a Juno-powered kerbal jet ski. Thanks!
  13. I wonder if the crew will end up in a survival situation, with nothing but debris and resourcefulness to get back to orbit (using KIS and KAS to build a makeshift launch vehicle, perhaps?)
  14. Sorry, but living out here in the sticks (woods) gets dull and I'm trying to enjoy my summer in full before school grinds my soul to a pulp. I guess that giant starship enterprise progect is back from the almost forgotten backburner
  15. Has this thread... Died? (Voice echoes in to the emptiness) ..... I'm experiencing thread withdrawal.
  16. Wait, if the kerbal universe is like the matrix, were reality can be distorted, that would be a perfect explanation for glitches and the F9 button, and how the kraken can tear your ships to pieces without actually appearing, maybe demo version bill found a backdoor out of the universe, abandoning his capsule wile in space and leaving to walk among humans.......
  17. oh i remember that! does the rotating barrell rely on microgravity or can you fire it from a truck? (mind = blown) ==>
  18. first, i would like to give all the credit for the original idea to KmMango, who's thread was a success, faded, had a halfhearted comeback, then promptly died. This is the place to share with the world any stock craft that is armed with weapons that spit in BD armorys face and tell it that its overrated! There are no rules here, just creativity. tanks, SPG's ICBM's fighters, attack aircraft, bombers, naval craft, even armed space craft, lets see what you can do with only stock parts! here is the beginning of my air force with my 3 armed aircraft. The smallest one is nemisis, my escort dogfighter. it carries 4 unguided missiles and 2 machine guns. The biplane is Hyperon, my attack bomber\heavy fighter that has 12 unguided missiles and 1 unguided bomb. The one that resembles a rectangle with a hole in the middle is Demeter, my heavy bomber that is loaded with 12 unguided bombs, 2 guided bombs, and 3 guided missiles. http://imgur.com/oTpHNe8 http://imgur.com/ocaap4O http://imgur.com/WcCvKcl http://imgur.com/ey0cZiV http://imgur.com/lLOnfTL http://imgur.com/KV6hCoY

  21. Have you got some clever stock weapons for KSP? Share them with the world here.
