KerbalX.com - Craft & Mission Sharing
Mycroft replied to katateochi's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I was talking about my profile picture. Yes, my profile picture is currently up. I am aware of that. So last night, I was visiting my profile, checking for typos, when I saw that my profile picture was gone AGAIN. So I re-uploaded it, and came straight to this thread to tell you. I don't know why this is happening, and I don't know if it's happened to anyone else, or if I'm just cursed, but figured that you'd want to know. How about this? The next time this happens, I won't re-upload my profile picture, instead I'll tell you on the forums, and you can maybe check it out? (Of course, this means that now the site will not delete my profile picture) Thanks for your tip about the signature pic! I wil definitely try it. -

Well, I can't say I'm extremely surprised by the expensive part, as a few quick calculations (Siri) revealed that the Leviathan costs over 17 times my entire career mode budget. I was kinda miffed to discover how common the name Leviathan is on the site, as I built mine as a microscopic scale rough model of a ridiculously huge space battleship I dreamed up 5 years ago. As for the mass, I'm not sure, but I may end up beating my own record soon here. I have so much trouble building small, and so much fun building huge that I really get carried away, I guess. I really should get a computer that's better than my 06 MacBook Pro. Anyway, I really appreciate everything you've done on that site and I just cannot thank you for your dedication and sacrifice enough. Saaayyy..... I was just looking at the 'Tower of defense' (I think that's the name) and WOOOOOOOOO NELLY!!! That's four times as expensive as my Leviathan!! I am floored! And I thought I was bad with glamorous, overly expensive and massive craft!! -

Thanks a ton! I feel so honored to be considered a part of the big leagues! I really appreciate your personable-ness (I have no idea what word to use there), and I absolutely love the site! I think it's one of the best fan works done in a long time. I have noticed a rather annoying bug recently, though. I used the profile picture feature to upload a logo for CMAU Incorporated, and I find that it seemingly randomly deletes my profile picture. At first, I thought it was a mistake of mine, but it has now happened for about the tenth time, and it gets frustrating. Sorry to follow on the heels of your splendid post about a new update with a bug report. About the dev's pick hangar, I went looking for awesome ships on my own, and I swear that every one where I went "Ooooohhh that's so awesome!" was literally already in the dev's pick hangar! So I think you have that down pat. -
@Choice // SLOTH Airlines, I recently heard that imgur album imbedding is broken and will be fixed by the next forum update. And a moderator can delete your post, if that's what you really want, but I think you should just leave it. It's a good craft, and the post is pretty much guaranteed to be swallowed up very soon at the rate people post here.

Granted, but it's a new species of air breathing piranha. I wish my crappy computer could run my 48,000 ton Leviathan at more than 2 seconds per frame.

[1.3.0] OPT Space Plane v2.0.1 - updated 29/07/2017
Mycroft replied to K.Yeon's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Ohhh. Okay. I guess I just didn’t put two and two together. Now I’m wondering why the landing gear loaded... Weird. The landing gear lists no errors. Thanks so much for your help, @stali79! -

I’d swear, loading has never taken this long! Fewer errors though. YES IT WORKED!!!! THANK YOU!! Now to find a suitable wall… {proceeds to bang head against wall repeatedly} Now I can finally do the glitch hunting I’ve been wanting to do! And put OPT space planes inside B9 hangars! -

Wow. Okay. Is it really that simple? I feel like an idiot. Well, here goes! I guess I naturally figured that the name that I downloaded was correct. It’s loading. That makes sense though. -

Can anyone help me figure out why the demo version refuses to work on my install? I have reinstalled the mod four times and redownloaded KSP. Yet it still refuses to work. I have the latest version of IFS installed, as well as module manager, but still NONE and I mean NONE of the parts refused to show up in my otherwise stock install. I finally gave up the idea of using OPT in my 1.1.3 install for now. So I decided to try downloading B9 Aerospace and for some arcane reason, that persuaded the large landing gear (which looks awesome, by the way) to show up. Does anybody know what is wrong with my install? I know I for sure installed the mod correctly. That's the first thing I checked. I think I've checked that something like ten times now. I'm beginning to think the Kraken has taken up a permanent living space in my computer or something. I'm running 1.1.3, by the way. -
I believe that the only reason he allows BD armory for planes and ground support is the fact that making stock missiles that are anywhere near accurate is next to impossible. Believe me, I’ve tried. The best I could make was an air to ground missile that was reasonably accurate, but was just very hard to predict exactly where it would hit the ground. I don’t want to say it’s impossible, just damn near impossible. Idk if others have done better. Probably, knowing my skill level. But I will automatically have a deep respect for anyone that can make a reliable stock atmospheric air to air missile.

Hey @HatBat, I have a suggestion for music tracks for your videos. My recommendation is the album Illumination by Jennifer Thomas. It actually has a few good songs in it that I thought might fit your videos. But if you're looking for absolutely epic music, then I highly recommend the album Epic Action & Adventure Vol. 4 by Epic Score. These songs are just awesome!

the stock weaponry megathread (revived)
Mycroft replied to The solid fuel chemist's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
If you people want stock weaponry, check out HatBat's Military ship submissions thread. -
Sweet! So I just don't see it? Do you see the CMAU Incorporated logo beneath it?

totm june 2018 Work-in-Progress [WIP] Design Thread
Mycroft replied to GusTurbo's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
So I just recently got B9 Aerospace, and promptly set out to build huge and awesome space battleships. Then I saw this military design submission thread linked to a YouTube series in progress. People could design and submit ships to the channel's author through this thread, and if the design was good enough, the craft would be used in the series. I noticed that the series used B9 and BDArmory, two of my favorite mods. So, I decided to build the awesomest ship I could, and submit it. Turns out, the series' author was no longer accepting mods for space ships. So now I have this big lug hanging around my puny laptop. Today, I spotted this thread and thought, "Hey, I could put my craft there, and maybe get some likes to compensate for the five hours it took to make this ship!" So here's the album: http://m.imgur.com/a/OIwg0.The launcher required infinite fuel to get to space. Here's the KerbalX page: https://kerbalx.com/Mycroft_33/Leviathan Description (from KerbalX): Be the envy of the entire system! This Omega class battleship is the pinnacle of CMAU’s finest technology! Guaranteed to destroy practically any opponent, this massive ship bristles with 9 heavy Abrams Tank turrets, 4 Goalkeeper 30 MM turrets, 22 BD Airborne Lasers, and the hangar capacity to house an absolute armada of medium fighters. It is 41.9 meters tall, 40.5 meters wide, and 186.0 meters long by itself. It can maintain radar locks on 6 different ships at once within a twenty kilometer radius, and weighs in at a massive 42,008.73 metric tons. It contains 3,650,650 units of ElectricCharge, 730,160 kg of MonoPropellant, 15,833.29 tons of LiquidFuel, 19,351.8 tons of Oxidizer, 460 rounds for the cannons, and 28,800 30MM rounds. At sealevel in HybridPlasma mode, TWR is 0.12. In vacuum, it is 0.20, with 10,372 m/s total DeltaV. In ClosedCycle mode, the sea level TWR is 0.54, and the vacuum TWR is 0.90-1.10 with only 3,988 m/s of DeltaV. The ship by itself is only 352 parts. It comes packaged with a massive booster that brings the mass to 110,941.1 metric tons, the width and height to 100.5 meters, and the length to 261.2 meters. Unfortunately, the booster is unable to get the ship to orbit, so it requires you to use fuel from the cruiser, or enable infinite fuel. Our engineers currently are convinced that designing a booster with enough power and DeltaV sufficient to get it to orbit is impossible, though we are still attempting to find a solution to this problem. Once it gets to orbit, though, it can go practically anywhere and whip anything! Order today! (Note: We also felt it was necessary to sell computers capable of running it along with the ship since it requires so many CPU resources, so for the special discount price of only 5,000 dollars plus tax, you can order one of the most impressive computers ever seen by Kerbalkind to accompany this equally impressive ship!) This is a deal beyond price! Supplies limited! Order today! -
I've always been curious as to how an AI can 'see'. Now I can watch one in action!! Actually, I have a question: I just created a signature, and I saved it, but it doesn't seem to show up on my posts. What am I doing wrong?

KerbalX.com - Craft & Mission Sharing
Mycroft replied to katateochi's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
@katateochi, thank you so much for your tips on the site. I'll work on my pages tomorrow afternoon, when I'm on my computer instead of my mobile. One thing I noticed while reviewing my page was that there are quite a few typos in the text of the website. For example, the options down at the bottom of any craft page spell view as 'veiw'. I'm sure you already know about these little things, but I wanted to mention them in case you didn't. Thanks again! -
In other news, if anyone is interested, I came up with CMAU's first generation logo!
-
I have a question. Is it allowed if I use the BD radar purely for looks on a spacecraft? Until somebody responds, I’ll have to assume the answer is ‘no’.
-
Can’t you lock on and then use translation controls to adjust your course? Cause that’s how I dock, won’t it work for this? Or am I just not seeing something obvious? Also, while sometimes close to the edge, it seems that the root part is usually a vital one, or even the cockpit. Wouldn’t that serve as a good target?

So I can view my ships, but I want to edit my Leviathan page, and for some reason, cannot find any edit button. Can someone please tell me how I can edit pages from a hangar? Edit: Okay! I found it! Turns out, I actually had used the button before, but I though it was something else. I will now commence banging my head against the nearest wall!
