SSTO-ing from laythe, IIRC is stupidly easy. Slap a rapier on some LF and oxidizer tanks and it should be able to get to laythe without too much trouble. The best thing to do is take advantage of the lower "space" line and use as much of the atmosphere as possible.

I've tried pasting an album today, and it worked. So not really.... The black button still doesn't function well for me.

I've flown RC planes exactly Twice. Both were on the same thing, a school project. The first time, it was a test for how well my super-well-thoughtout-plane-by-which-I-mean-not-at-all-well-designed flew. It didn't. Chucking it off the deck, it flew for about 3 m and then dove into the ground. Second time, it was trying to demonstrate in class. It also flew into the ground and crashed. Really, Id like to get back into it. Just don't have money for it. (I borrowed some parts from my school. All the electronics.) Rc helicopters though, I've flown a small one for a good amount of time. Needs a new battery though.

The easiest way to do it is to have your SSTO, with isru preferably, launch and go to minmus to refuel. Needs about 5000 m/s of delta-v for a nice safe margin. Then go to jool. Via gravity assists or whatever, doesn't matter. Tylo capture, and adjust to get into laythe orbit. Much nicer here, cause if you use LF only on Nukes, you have a lot ore delta-v cause of the Higher ISP. Then land, isru rufuel, and do whatever you need to. Then launch and try to use tylo to get out of Jool SOI. Or burn. Harder to burn though. Fall back to kerbin. You can do some gravity assist wizardry o reduce your speed at kerbin, but you should end up near kerbin. Burn, or aerocapture, and land. Minmus is near the edge of kerbin SOI. It also doesn't take too much delta-v to land and takeoff, so its not a total kill on delta-v. Its also quite nice to gravity assist with tylo into joolian orbit. Much nicer than giant burns. This is the best option of something with isru. If you want to use fuel depots, I would say to put one in Minmus orbit and another in Laythe orbit.

Dude, this is a a two year old post. I don't think anyone else is getting back to it.

totm june 2018 Work-in-Progress [WIP] Design Thread
qzgy replied to GusTurbo's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
If you look at the thread, many deadlines have been missed. So seeing the first full scale stock F-15 (active, too) would be a real treat. -
Sometimes I get bored of seeing SomethingSoandSo Kerman all the time. Is there a mod or a way to edit the game to change it so that its to lists in parallel being randomized? Just curious.

Actually, Wikipedia didn't It says exactly what he said, sort of. The materials were designed in such a way and built to prevent structural failure by twisting with negtive AoA. Its complicated

Cheap Passenger Rocket sstO Challenge
qzgy replied to Spricigo's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
I take "cheap and cheerful" and threw it out the window. Still made an entry Base - 279985/32 = - 8749.5 Have the hands on thing (- 8749.5 * 97 *100)/100 = -848704.5 That's terrible. Wait.... Is recovery cost counted? Cause, if so... 279985-253822 = 26163 -26163/32 = -817.5 -817.5 *97 (the other things cancel out) = -79249 I might have to try something else out. I'll be back. Also, is there a bonus for visiting other bodies. I would assume not.... -

Maybe. The odd thing is that it happens on some files and not others. -

Sure. Downloading on chrome works fine. So I guess its nightly (dev build of Firefox). Kinda funny though. Email with resulting file sent. -

This one: https://kerbalx.com/PizzaThePanda/Panda-Aerospace-Fury-Mk1-A-BDA I'm running Nightly Build 56.0a1, 64 Bit on Windows 10 -
Lots of dogfighting. Lots and Lots of it.

I think it's possible to argue that. Its a weird middle ground I guess.

Welp.... I might be leaking and screwing something up, but here's something to play with. https://kerbalx.com/qzgy/Mosquito-Type-2 Currently set on team A, as a note. BTW, these things absolutely murder your dorniers. Think I've got them dialed in just right. Especially since I've been trying to beat these things and the only way so far is to set them up against 4 smaller fighters.

What would be your reaction to a nuclear holocaust?
qzgy replied to cratercracker's topic in The Lounge
Oh (expletive of choice here). Welp, I'm probably dead. -
I'm surprised nothing by Douglas Adams has been mentioned. Hitchhikers guide and all that. The Martian is pretty good. My dad has a large Arthur C. Clarke collection, so I've read parts of that. I've read through the Rama series, but also (I think, it was a while ago) the Hammer of God and Time's Eye and the assorted series. My personal favorite so far is The Light of Other Days. Interesting story about look anywhere cameras (I say cameras, its really quantum tunneling wormholes or something along those lines, but it acts as a camera in that it relays an image to the viewer) that can see in the past. I hope you are talking about the originals, and not the rebooted series. Originals were simply called Thunderbirds, not Thunderbirds are go, which is the new one. Not such a fan of the new one.

KerbalX.com - Craft & Mission Sharing
qzgy replied to katateochi's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Hello @katateochi! First off, amazing work with the website and keeping it running. Thank you for that. I am having a bit of a problem with it at the moment though where the download doesn't become a usable craft file, instead spitting out as a generic file on the windows operating system. I'm not sure why that is, since it was working before hand. It could be on my end, I'm not entirely sure. Do you mind giving advice? (or fixing it, if it isn't a problem with me?) Edit: Seems to be a problem with certain craft. not sure why that is....
