  1. Would you care to elaborate on this? How does it come that Grannus directly follows the Ceti missions? Is there a way to circumvent this? Would it be possible to "deactivate" Grannus, so I get another Historians mission? Oops, 4 questions in one post... I feel guilty!
  2. Could you please tell me if you got rid of the "Explore Grannus" Problem, i.e. the Gaelean Historians mission which turns up in the game right after the Ceti-missions? I like to play along the "Explore"-missions so I'm on hold right now in my current career-game. And one more thing: You guys rock!
  3. I am sorry to have to ask about the "Explore Grannus" mission. I couldn't find an answer to this by searching (except for someone saying it will be fixed in one of the coming updates). Has it been fixed in GPP 1.2.3? Because that's my current install. Is there any way to skip that contract? It turns up just after I finished my last Ceti-mission. I managed to get another Ceti-mission (Docking) instead of "Explore Grannus" but I'm afraid it will show up again after I finish the docking-mission. Thanks for this wonderful mod! Loving it! KSP really feels like a new game since I started my GPP-career!
  4. @IvanSanchez: Thank you very much for dropping by and for the nice words. My modding skills are near to non-existent so I have no other means to contribute to this great community than some ogg-files for an already existing mod. Happy to hear you like my extension for Chatterer. I have great fun recording these clips so it's nice to see people having the same fun listening to them!
  5. LOL back @Red Stapler Yeah it was fun to add that song! Shortly ago my Kerbals sang during liftoff. Jebediah, that badass!
  6. Chatterer Extended v0.6 is ready for download. Source material for Apollo 12 (45 clips) and Apollo 17 (70 clips) originate once again from the NASA Archives. 115 new Chatterer files for your hearing pleasure. Notable things: Pete Conrad (Apollo 12) has the best kerbalized voice ever! And Harrison "Jack" Schmitt (Apollo 17) seems to be quite an emotional character. It was very fun "kerbalizing" him. His enthusiasm is carried over perfectly to his Kerbal voice! I'll mark this as ready for 1.3 as soon as the original Chatterer gets updated for the new version. I hope you enjoy the new update! Feel free to comment. BTW: Do you know this site? It's fantastic! apollo17.org
  7. Of course my post was a little provocative but to me fiddling around with the PC is what makes PC gaming what it is. I do not want a "streamlined" experience. As I said I like to be in charge and using JSGME I understand the structure of mods and their interrelations far better than someone who depends on CKAN (at least that's what I believe). No doubt it's a great tool for many KSP players but it's not for me. I didn't want to offend anyone with my remark. It's just strange that there seem to be so few people here that use JSGME which I think is the perfect middle route between hardcore "Do-It-Yourself-Nerds" and "Automated Life"-guys!
  8. But I did update the file. If I download the current version from Spacedock my version file looks like this: Isn't that correct? The KSP-AVC shows it as 0.5.0.0 as well. Am I missing something?
  9. @Galileo: thank you for the update. I have just begun to meddle with this juggernaut of a mod and I am totally overwhelmed by the sheer size and complexity of all your work! I appreciate it very much and I am looking forward to start a full-fledged career once I can decide which mods to use. One thing that you missed in the update seems to be the correction of the "agents.cfg" in the "GameData\GPP\GPP_Planets\Gael" folder. I wondered why the Gaelean Historians Collective logo didn't show up in Mission Control. I believe the path in the "agents.cfg" has to be adjusted to the new file/folder structure...
  10. Chatterer Extended v0.5 is ready for download. Source material for STS-51d soundclips originates once again from the NASA Archives. Read more about the mission here. 100 new Chatterer files for your hearing pleasure (including female chatter). These clips fit the original soundfiles perfectly. As always I'd like to hear any comments, criticism or questions. I will have a look at this...
  11. You are right. I am so used to using the JSGME Mod Enabler that I described how to implement this extension with JSGME instead of the procedure without JSGME. Of course you have to put the "Chatterer" folder in your GameData folder (or the "GameData" folder into your KSP-directory which has the same result). This results in adding several new folders in the "Chatterer/Sounds/Chatter" folder. Then continue as described in the first post. Sorry for that! Chatterer folder before adding "Chatterer Extended": Chatterer folder after adding "Chatterer Extended" (added folders in red): I hope this helps. I will correct the first post of this thread.
  12. Of course you may suggest one. As long as I don't violate any copyrights I'm open to all suggestions.
  13. That's good to hear! As the quality of the source material is quite inconsistent the biggest challenge is to achieve the right pitch. Sometimes this is almost impossible as people also tend to have different voices! Thank you very much for your comment. This little extension has been downloaded more than 2000 times according to Spacedock. It's cool to know that KSP-players now listen to my "homegrown" Kerbal chatter! I agree with you. I have never understood why people complain about MOD-organization. I use JSGME since 2001 and never looked back. Maybe it's because I'm old. Young people want to check "Automatic Updates" and then let the machines do the work for the rest of their lives. Using JSGME I still have the feeling to be in charge and to understand what I'm doing. I don't want to give this control away.
  14. Chatterer Extended v0.4 is ready for download. Source material for Expedition 51 soundclips originates once again from the NASA Archives. This time though, Mission Control is the POTUS himself. Read more about it here. 80 new Chatterer files for your hearing pleasure (including female chatter).
  15. I just found a great soundclip on the NASA Archives! It's file no. 5 on this site. POTUS Trump speaking to the astronauts on the ISS, especially Peggy Whitson, the first woman astronaut to command the ISS. She also broke the record for most total days spent in space by any NASA astronaut. Trump congratulates her on achieving that. Anyway, this is a great source for more chatter for Chatterer Extended. Look forward to kerbalized Trump in Mission Control!
  16. Chatterer Extended v0.3 is ready for download. This is quite a massive update almost doubling the number of clips from the previous version. First I replaced the faulty "capcom_23.ogg" from the Apollo 10 mission. While doing that I made some more Apollo 10 - soundclips (now 120 in total). Finally, I recorded 98 soundclips from the Columbia mission STS-61c. This is a "complete" set with both male and female Kerbal-chatter. Have fun! @linuxgurugamer: Thank you for your support. I "beautyfied" the version file according to your instructions and placed the version file in the Chatterer folder.
  17. Hmmm, you are right. I put this on my to-do-list for the next version. In case you want to delete the file, it is the file "capcom_23" in the "capcom" folder of the Apollo 10 soundfiles. Maybe I did something wrong when exporting the file to .ogg. Thanks for letting me know! Thank you very much!
  18. Updated this mod extension to v0.2. Added ISS Expedition 18 soundclips (28 files) and Apollo 13 soundclips (45 files). The Expedition 18 soundclips are used as female pilot chatter although in reality this was a female mission control operator (Cathy?). I think it fits quite well. I hope you like the additional files and appreciate every feedback I can get!
  19. That was fast! Thank you very much! Is there something for myself to consider if I'll update my mod?
  20. @linuxgurugamer: Could you clear up what you mean by that? As I pointed out above I have no experience whatsoever with CKAN as I have always used JSGME Mod Enabler for KSP-modding needs. If however you want to integrate it on CKAN you're welcome to do as you see fit.Thank you in advance for a short answer.
  21. Oh man, I was afraid of that question! To be honest I have never even bothered with that tool as a user (I use JSGME Mod Enabler since Silent Hunter 2 days). What would I have to do to publish this on CKAN?
  22. I have heard of Sound Track Editor but have yet to test it. Normally I just listen to my ambient playlist and turn the game music off. @Athlonic will check my extension to his mod. So there is hope my little extension will appear on the first page of the Chatterer-thread. That would be a great honor as it is my favourite ambiance mod! Thank you for pointing this out. I changed the link to the main page of the mod.
  23. @Athlonic: Thanks for approval of the name and I hope the pack proves worthy to be mentioned on the thread's first post!
