  1. Hello!

I realize I've neglected my mission reports a lot. There are a few reasons for this, one being that the second half of 2017 was a really bad span of time for me, my free time dwindled, I got really into Minecraft for a month... The list goes on an on.

However, if all goes well, you all can expect Chapter 40 of Project Intrepid tomorrow, now with visual mods!

I got a really nice desktop computer for Christmas, and I just transferred the PI folder over today and got everything updated to 1.3.1 (previously it was on 1.2.2 or 1.1.1) and accidentally went crazy with CKAN. At first it was just KER/KAC, my essentials, but then I decided to add some visual enhancements... Then some more... And more... And then I threw in TweakScale, Hangar Extender, KAS/KIS, and a bunch of other cool things.

However, even with dozens of mods, I wanted to preserve the "spirit" of the stock game. The only mods that add parts to my knowledge are KER, KAS, and KIS which aren't really that big, so the ships will stay the same. For now I'm going to keep TweakScale to a minimum.

My new plan is to do shorter chapters rather than long ones, to improve the per-chapter turnaround. After 2-3 chapters of PI I'm going to try and finish a music video, do another chapter of Voyage, then shift gears into SRB grand tour for another 2-3 episodes, or at least that's the plan.

Come to think of it I shouldn't have started half a dozen projects, it's really hard to maintain them all at once. I'll try not to start any more at least until I finish one.

      Cool. Looking forward.
For myself personally to preserve the "spirit" of the game, that means no parts mods or part altering mods. Can't deny though that tweakscale is useful for making BIG things.

And when you're evacuating the planet, you tend to need BIG things...

      EDIT: Full list of mods:

      • BoulderCo city lights and stuff
      • Distant Object Enhancement
      • EngineLight
      • EVE
      • Hangar Extender
      • KAS
      • KER
      • KJR (I forgot about this one, it affects stock performance somewhat, but TBH it was getting insanely hard to build ships longer than 70 or so meters without the Kraken attacking, so I consider it justified)
      • HyperEdit (for testing, teleporting sets, off-planet vessel construction, abandoned bases, etc.)
      • KIS
      • A skybox that I'm probably going to change as it wasn't the one I was looking for
      • RealPlume
      • Scatterer
      • SigmaReplacements
      • SmokeScreen
      • SVE
      • Take Command (spawn Kerbals into EVA seats)
      • KAC
      • Transfer Window Planner
      • TweakScale (for absurdly huge things and avoiding clusters of dozens of engines)
      • Vessel Mover (same reasons as HyperEdit)
      • Waypoint Manager

Total of 22 mods, including 10 visual mods, 4 informational mods, 2 cheat mods, 2 editor mods, KAS/KIS, KJR, and TweakScale.
